This is my first set of clubs and I'm very happy all around. This would be an excellent set to learn on and if you grow to enjoy the game you can upgrade to what you feel is best as you learn your swing. I've had this set about 2 years now and have just started playing regularly in the past 6 months. With lessons, weekly play, and twice weekly range practice I'm slowly upgrading my clubs but still use all but the driver and 3-wood that came with this set. This set is easily as good as any $300 set out there.
