I have been able to improve my speed and strength by using the workout programs in this book. I work out very regularly and since using the strength workouts in this book I have noticed significant gains in strength and size after only a few workouts. I also have noticed an increase in my speed. This book is very good and I definitely recommend it to others that seem to be at a standstill in their workouts. It broke me out of a rut and it probably will do that to others also.
All of these books are almost exactly the same except for the cover and a few sport specific paragraphs. In other words, it didn't go into depth on what specifically needs to be trained for hockey. It's largely a reference--with some 80s looking people--on how to lift weights in general.
