  • Do not buy this book. It is a "Men' Health" magazine article with a new slap-in-the-face title pasted over it. This book is not comprehensive. There is no core work, no plyometrics, no shoulder stability exercises, and very little other than 2 well-toned taned teens doing very basic bodybuilding movements found in any magazine or basic boudybuilding book. The author teaches the power clean in one paragraph with 2 small pictures. The author says blatantly wrong things like power is best trained with 12 reps. Hmmm... I thought detriment of form and peak power production decreased tremendously after 6 and you want me to double that? It mentions a that during rest periods were you don't workout that you need to do sport-specific exercise. That is correct, but to mention that sport-specific exercise includes SWINGING A RACKET in a GYMNASTICS book amazes me. Maybe it was written so people could relate ot it and it was an analogy, but if I bought this book for gymnastics don't you think you would include a gymnastics example? This book is very insulting and shouldn't be a book, but a pamphlet about bodybuilding.
