I was skeptical of discount flies, but they appear to be well made. I have not sued them to see how long they last but I usually snap them off in a tree behind me or on a rock in the stream before I have a fly unravel or fall apart. For about 1.00 a piece they appear as good as teh ones I paid 3-4 for at snobby fly shops
