Ok so this doll house is wonderful. May I give some advice. I have not started to build this one yet but I have built others in the past.1. Give your self a nice long time frame. It not somthing you can put together in a week. No matter how handy you are.2. Label all your parts3. Sand sand sand4. Paint all your parts first5. Don't work on this with your childrent it will just fusterate you :<HAVE FUN !!!!! THEY ARE GREAT AND WELL WORTH THE TIME AND ENERGY. YOU CAN'T BEET THE PRICE AT OVERSTOCK.
Not easy to put together, be ready for a challenge! It's absolutely wonderful though. Great deal. Be prepared to sand a lot.
This was made with extremely poor quality wood and it was daunting to put together. It is more of a showcase item then something that can actually be played with. Unless you have several days to put this thing together, I wouldn't even bother. Several pieces arrived broken.Although it looks pretty once all is said and done, the headache putting it together is not worth it. I would urge anyone to think twice before purchasing this. I only wish I had known in advance.

This was my first dollhouse and of course I had to pick the most complicated one. I consider myself very handy and have done major renovations and woodwork in my home so I didn't find this dollhouse to overly complicated to build but it is incredibly detailed and very time consuming. I would not recommend building this with a child since the pieces tend to splinter often and many of the pieces are very small. If you are new to dollhouse making or not very handy and in to detail, I would suggest trying a smaller dollhouse first. Also, if you are building this as a gift with a specific deadline give yourself plenty of time to work on this. I purchased this on Thanksgiving to build for a Christmas gift. I started out spending about 3-4 hrs a night 7 days a week but ended up spending about 20 hrs a day for the last 5 days in order to get it 95% completed by Christmas. All said, this is a great dollhouse and my daughter loves it. Overstock had the best price and incredibly fast shipping.

I was thrilled with the great deal we got on this item by buying it on Overstock.com. However, my husband and I are going to be up many late nights to ensure the house is put together by Christmas morning. There are SO many pieces. I would recommend you label, label, lable. We know our girls will just love the gift, so it is well worth the effort. I hope it will be a family treasure for decades!
