The Beacon Hill is a beautiful kit which, truthfully, takes alot of time and a tremendous amount of patience to complete. I certainly would NOT recommend this as a first build. However, if you want a truly collector quality house to display pridefully, this is one for you! The archictectural details are amazing and unique, even compared to more expensive kits. Once again, the outcome will depend on how much time and attention to detail you put in. Sand the pieces well, use wood filler for gaps, and follow the instructions carefully. Take your time. Enjoy the process. Greenleaf is really good with support so any problems you have can be solved with a call. The price for this kit here on overstock is the best deal around. Period.

I ordered this kit and it came almost immediately. The Kit was in perfect condition and the house is coming along nicely. The price was also better than anywhere else online!

I loved this project. I must admit I scoffed at a review from someone about the hours taken to complete this, but it really does take a long time. I wouldn't really take this on if you are not into crafting and if you are not a hands-on type fix it person, it is hard work. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it looks awesome. I have a few touch up paint bits to do and then the interior decorating - a hobby is a project you do when you feel like it. Don't pressure yourself to finish it - it is an ongoing project to enjoy.

The dollhouse arrived so promptly, I was very pleased. 2 of the pieces were cracked but I think that was due to the thin wood, not the shipping. overall, wonderful dollhouse for my first time, and you can't beat the overstock shipping flat fee, it is very heavy and would have cost an additional $20 anywhere else.

This is a beautiful doll house. Few of the doll house kits have this much exterior detailing included in the kit.. I have constructed doll houses before and, though they can be time comsuming, they are well worth the effort. I was delighted with the prompt delivery . I ordered it was just before Christmas and it came within a few days. Could not be more pleased with this house.

I was, indeed, impressed with the final results - looks just like the picture. However, I was not prepared for how long this endeavor would actually take! I have an architectural degree and am very familiar with building models, adhesives, etc. - It took me many weeks worth of time to assemble. I found the directions easy enough to follow, but the wood quality was poor at best - even after sanding, most pieces never looked good.

This dollhouse takes a lot of energy and enthusiasm to put together, but the results-the look on my daughter's face when she saw it- well worth it!!

The package came quickly, and intact. There was a broken piece in the box, and it had been previously opened and retaped. All pieces were accounted for. It was a great deal, 30% less than other sites

This was the best price, I did a lot of research on this dollhouse. It arrived at my house in just a few days! I have not yet put it together, but expect to have fun doing so.

The wood leaves a lot to be desired. I recommend buying some filler as the plywood is not the best I have seen. The kit goes together fairly easy, but take your time on it. This is not something you can throw together in a weekend. The instructions a pretty straight forward, and easy to follow. I would have given this a much higher rating is not for the wood issues. Some pieces of the wood came warped, and some of the more fragile pieces (Shingles and clapboard) where just thrown in the box, leaving them to be damaged.

Details are extremely intricate in this dollhouse..I am really enjoying the detail of this house..You must be a detailed person and take your time.. but most important enjoy it..i also will never order from anyone but overstock.com they are the cheapest and fastest on delivery.. overstock u are great

I was given this kit as a gift in high school and almost completed it with the exception of some interior decoration. Unfortunately my parents kept it in the garage and it was exposed to the heat and cold for years; it became warped and pieces began to fall off. I bought this kit for myself so I could rebuild it, complete it this time, and to ensure it was kept ONLY indoors. Looking forward to completing it and leaving it someday as an heirloom to my niece. Such a beautiful house! Very elegant and not too difficult to construct given its mansard roof and other features.

Order was shipped and delivered within a few days. Assembly is taking some time as expected-the instructions say not to work ahead, but you have to in order for parts to be ready for the next assembly. Label the pieces and have lots of room to work. Wallpaper before assembly -it is easier that way! The instructions are pretty good-I would prefer more pictures. I ordered this in Oct and it will def. be ready for a Christmas present.

This is a beautiful doll house. It will take the average person some time to assembly. I have been working on it for 2 weekends now and should be complete in another 2 weekends. Great investment that I am confident my children will love for years to come.

This is our 1st dollhouse, the service at Overstock.com was GREAT!!! after ordering it was only 3 days till delivery everything arrived in great shape!!! would highly recommend. oh yea and the cheapest price found!!

Currently building this house. This kit is simply one of the best, along with the other products from greenleaf. Delivery was quick and no one can beat the the price at o.co! Two thumbs up.

Some of the pieces came on wood that was rotted and green. Because of this, some of the pieces were unable to be used in the dollhouse. Luckily, they were small simple pieces and I could make them out of scrap wood. The instructions are difficult to understand and require reading them several times over. I would recommend more pictures be put in the instructions.

The dollhouse is amazingly beautiful, but expect 40+ hours of work putting this together. The instructions are complex and there are so many parts. Do not expect to put this together quickly and be prepared to devote a major workspace to it.

I bought the Beacon Hill dollhouse kit from Overstock.com for my granddaughter, arriving on time and in good condition for Christmas. It was, by far, her favorite present. Hopefully, we will have it built by next Christmas. Neither one of us have ever attempted to build one before. :)
