Just as described. I have not used it yet but it appears to be be as sturdy as my earlier version that I have been using. I plan to use both for backpacking in fair weather. The floor could be thicker but this would affect the carry weight. The carry weight, cost, and compactness are the reasons I purchased my first one a few years back.
It definitely isn't made for two people. My son is 12 and only he really fits comfortably. For one person good tent.

This inexpensive tent served me fairly well. I used it for 45 days back to back on a cross country bicycle trip. 3 of the 5 clips that clip onto the smaller tent pole broke, the first within the first week, the 2nd and 3rd during the second week. I was able to replace these with zip ties so bring some along while using this tent. The smaller tent pole split along its length in the center section during the 5th week of use but i was able to repair this by super-gluing the split and wrapping it with duct tape. Other than the durability of the tent, its ability to hold up to wind is debatable. On a windy night I almost lost the rain fly, however i woke up when it came loose and was able to catch it before all the stakes were blown free. The tent is very waterproof, i had this in very serious thunderstorms and i did not get wet. I did however camp on a slope and on a tarp which both aided in this dry experience. Do not try to camp with 2 people in this tent, it fit me and my luggage, i could not imagine trying to fit another person in this tent unless you are very close to them and even that might not be comfortable. also, i am of average height and my head touched the highest point in the ceiling as i was kneeling. I was satisfied with this tent, but mainly because it is so cheap. If i had paid more for it i might have tried to get my money back.
Let's be clear about one thing. unless there is romance going on, this is NOT a 2 man tent. I needed cheap shelter for a night near the beach in Maine, and for the price, it performed to my expectations. I set it up referring only briefly to the instructions, in about 5 minutes. I was disappointed that the very first thing I noticed when I climbed inside was a small hole where 2 seams were mis-stitched. I am under the impression that I could have sent it back for a replacement, but I needed to sleep in it that weekend. The property we stayed on was once considered uninhabitable because of the mosquito population in June, but the big mesh roof kept me bug free all night. The tent could definitely use a footprint under it, and although I did not use the rain fly, It seemed like it may not have kept me totally dry if I needed it. All in all, if you think you just may need a small shelter a couple times a year in nice weather, it's a good product.
I purchased this tent for an upcoming weekend camping trip. I would be the only one in the tent. the enclosed instruction sheet that came with the tent are a bit confusing. If you do an internet search for the make/model of the tent you'll get clearer directions on setting up the tent. The tent material is as expected lightweight so it will probably be prone to easy tearing especially if you plan on entering the tent with shoes on. As suggested you should use some sort of ground cloth/tarp on the ground then set the tent up on top of it. I slept in the tent for several nights in my backyard as well as several hours during the day. I also bought a twin sized single level air bed for comfort purposes. The air bed fit well inside the text though I would advise to only partially inflate it prior to putting it in the tent because it is debatable as to whether or not it would easily fit through the doorway of the tent without causing damage to either the tent or air bed. The actual tent setup was a cinch assuming that you use the online directions. Based on it being extremely light it would be a perfect tent for backpacking and bike riding. The screen-mesh roof is great for star gazing as well as fresh air circulation combined with the door screen. Getting the rain cover set up right takes some practice that should be accomplished before the rain comes. Overall, it is an excellent tent for the price. No complaints here.
I picked this up for my adult camping son for Christmas. When he took it out and set it up I was a little concerned about how thin it was but he soon corrected my concerns. The light weight and quality construction make it ideal for his backpacking needs. He did say he will need a drop cloth to place under it because the material is thin on the floor. The open mesh top is great for star gazing on warm summer nights and the rain fly is enough to break the breeze and add warmth. This was my first purchase with Overstock and I am very pleased.
Great tent for my new Boy Scout. We are happy with the price and the quality.

It is a great tent. It does require a separate mat like others have pointed out. Keep moisture and bugs out well. Very easy to set up. The rain cover set up was confusing. It is a little clearer after studying a second pic at the manufacturer's website. Instructions are not useful in setting up rain cover. Good buy for the price. I would recommend for hiking, biking trips.
Set this tent up in the yard before our trip and had no problems. The rain fly was a little weird at the rear of the tent but other than that it was fine. We got to our campsite and the tent went up without any problems. Kept the cool wind out and we stayed dry. I would recommend this tent to anyone. Throw away the instructions before you do anything with the tent.
I bought 5 of these tents due to the compactness, size and price. They will be used in the families multiple emergency kit backpacks (72 hour kits). I will be waterproofing (spray) them before use. I am impressed with the vestibule. The tent appears to be roomy enough for one person plus a lot of gear. I suppose that two people could fit inside (if you really like the other person) but not much gear along with the two. I would recommend this tent to those wanting a good, compact, light weight, inexpensive tent for hiking, biking or emergency needs.
No problems with set up at all, took only a few minutes. Since floor is made of same material as tent, you will need to carry a tarp footprint. Plenty of room for 1 person and pack in tent. Tent was used on consectutive nights when temperature dropped into the low to mid 30's with a steady wind. Tent withstood winds. Good deal for the cost.
