have camped and used dutch ovens for over the campfire cooking for many years...passing the tradition down to family, I purchased this for my son and his family for Christmas...they are avid campers, also...along with this oven, I made him a simple cookout book with recipes designed for the dutch oven....It was a big hit....they love the dutch oven, use it often, and wonder how they ever made it without the oven...would recommend this to anyone who enjoys outdoor over the fire cooking!!! This was exactly what I was looking for since I own a dutch oven and plan to use it on our boat camping trip. This will work very well to pick up the hot lid.
