Overall the tent was fine. My only gripe is that I had to buy extra tent pegs because the ones that came with the tent were almost completely useless. Also, without better pegs, the tent will not stand up in a 10+ mph wind.

I used this tent in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area last summer. I loved the spaciousness, especially the stand-up head room, and the straightforward set-up. The full-coverage fly should keep it dry. It's higher than I expected; so using the tie-outs on the fly is, I suspect, important in countering high winds. I would always look for a sheltered spot because of the tent's high walls---the price of the great head room.

  • Overall a great tent

This was our first time tent camping or as my daughter put it camporing other than camping. I just decided do you really have to "ruff it" to go camping. The Black Pine Turbo tent 6 is pretty luxurious. It's a dream to put up and take down. We had winds and I put my hand next to the walls absolutely no wind was coming through. We placed a heavy duty tarp underneath and a canvas tarp inside to protect the floor we were dry warm and cozy. When we got thunderstorm rain and lightning I was pretty nervous but this tent didn't budge. To top it off the ground was perfectly dry underneath the tarp when we broke camp. The only real downside is it's small I can't imagine having six people there was only two of us. But I believe I've resolved that issue instead of a qn mattress we're going with two cots that way you can put a cot on each side and have stand up room in center of tent . The ceiling comes down pretty quickly so there's little stand up area on sides your constantly bent over. Oh did...

Too heavy to take camping unless you are going on a long trip and staying in 1 place. The canopy has trouble riding up unless it is squared perfectly. It is also hard to clean if you are leaving it up for the summer on your deck and you have trees and animals dropping things on it. It is very sturdy and wind resistant especially if you tie it down or screw it into a wood deck. It is tall and roomy.

We haven't really used it yet but we put it together and it fits the 2 of us and seems well made.
