  • Nice but not great quality

    Aug 21, 2014

It is a decent tent and easy to set up. We use it to camp out in our backyard, so can't attest to ruggedness! You must know that the morning dew, not rain or heavy dew, caused the tent to leak! I recently waterproofed it but haven't had it out to see if that solved the issue.

    Decent Canopy for the Price

We use canopies when we go racing, so we put up our new 12 x 12 next to a couple of our 10 x 10s of a different brand, which a few years ago cost us $** on sale. The 12 x 12 has straight, not slanted legs so you get true 144 sq ft,- plenty of room for two race bikes with tools. I compared the frame and the weight of the metal was identical and the construction was the same as the other pop-ups with added bars across the top to the apex. One thing I would have liked to have seen was venting -- there is none, which means the wind has more of an impact coming up under the canopy I also noticed a few very small areas where the silver coating was missing on the inside of the roof - and that is why I gave it a rating of "good" rather than 'excellent'. This defect is a disappointment as it will not be truly waterproof. The mechanisms on the frame worked easily; it can be put up by one person, but two makes it a lot easier and quicker. The carry bag was very, very light weight and m...

Please do not buy this, collapsed from light rain

I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. It was carefully put up. Left outside for 4 days, and collapsed from rain. This is the second time it happened . This was a replacement. It is like an umbrella type mechanism so when it broke both times there was no way to close it. Now I have a 12 ft metal wreck taking up my whole back yard. And will have to hire someone who wants to get cut up breaking the metal on this monster so I can throw it in garbage bags. The legs are made from flimsy hollow thin metal. How quality control let this product pass inspection is beyond me.

the tent it self is great. the instructions not so good. but once you get it started two people can figure it out. the room divider is not what i expected so i did not use it. we had a bad storm (took it camping in the mountains) the the tent was great, no leaks and we had not seam sealed it yet, rain fly fit perfect and did its job. we used a queen size mattress and had room to move.

    Makes Camping a Pleasure

I chose this tent over others because of some of the features, especially the hinged door. Having not camped in a tent for many years and getting a little older, I look for features that make life a little easier. We camped 4 days recently and found it to hold up well to strong wind and rain. We did add water proofing at the seams but I don't think that would have been necessary as the rain fly keeps the rain away very well. It is roomy and tall. I liked being able to stand up completely in all areas. The awning from the rain fly makes a great shaded entrance. . It took us a bit to set up as one of the poles was called black on the instructions and it was really gray. Next time will be easier. We had plenty of room for our queen size air bed, a table and two chairs. It would be a little tight for 8 I think but I like a lot of room to move around during the day. Being able to bring our electric into the tent through a zippered opening was a real plus so that we could keep our...
