Tents & Outdoor Canopies

When you're camping and hiking, a good tent goes a long way to making the experience easier and more pleasant. Tents are your home when you're spending time outdoors, so finding one that fulfills your wants and needs is important. Fortunately, Overstock.com has a large selection of tents and other outdoor and camping gear to make your outdoor experiences fantastic. We carry a wide selection of tents, from ultra-light two-man tents to jumbo eight-man tents with internal room dividers. Whichever sort of tent you're looking for, you can find it in our camping and hiking department for a terrific low price.
The two main types of tents for camping are backpacking and car-camping. Backpacking tents are designed to be lightweight because you will be carrying one in your backpack for many miles. To keep the tents lightweight, manufacturers design them to be streamlined, so you won't have much extra room in a backpacking tent. A two-person backpacking tent will often only fit two people sleeping shoulder-to-shoulder, with very little room to store other camping gear. Backpacking tents will sometimes cost a little more than models designed for car camping because the backpacking models are made of stronger, more lightweight materials. Because weight is not much of an issue in car-camping, these styles tend to be roomier than those for hikers, both in terms of floor space and headroom. Some large car-camping tents will also have room dividers to offer more privacy within the compartment.
Models vary in the features they offer, but you can find features like multiple doors for easier entry and exit, screen doors and windows for better ventilation, interior pockets for storage and organization, and high ceilings for a more open feel. Canopy tents are also available that are designed with vertical walls or no walls. These canopies are ideal for providing daytime shelter from rain or the sun and are great for picnics and outdoor family gatherings. Canopy tents are also a great way to reduce weight if you want to hike light and fast. Canopy tents take a little know-how to set up properly, but once you've mastered the setup, they make excellent light-weight shelters.
Regardless of the type of tent you're looking for or the features you want it to have, you'll find it at a low price on Overstock.com, and as always, you'll also get our excellent customer care.

The tent was bigger then I expected. Easy to set up the second time , a little confusing at first , but after the initial attempt it went up easily and quickly. My first night out it was very windy and a steady rain , the tent held up with no issues and I stayed dry. Delivery was quicker then promised, overall a good experience with the product and service.

Overall the tent was fine. My only gripe is that I had to buy extra tent pegs because the ones that came with the tent were almost completely useless. Also, without better pegs, the tent will not stand up in a 10+ mph wind.

Too heavy to take camping unless you are going on a long trip and staying in 1 place. The canopy has trouble riding up unless it is squared perfectly. It is also hard to clean if you are leaving it up for the summer on your deck and you have trees and animals dropping things on it. It is very sturdy and wind resistant especially if you tie it down or screw it into a wood deck. It is tall and roomy.

    Not good in humid environments.

Very spacious tent. Fairly easy setup. At about 4am in heavy dew and fog, the rain fly had stuck to the tent causing the moisture to drip inside the tent onto me. I will spray the tent with a water repellant and would advise anyone else to definitely do the same!

I am an avid camper form Wa, Ore, Fla, mountains of Nevada, calif. I found the center height of this tent to be insufficient @5'8" for a six foot person to stand upright in. otherwise average in all respects.
