The knife appears to be well made. However, the blade does not maintain a sharp edge. But the item is a good purchase for the money.

The blade is sharp, cutting edge and appearance. The sheath feels like cloth and while unsheathing the blade has at times "snagged" on the sheath threads.
its a very cheap knife thats the only good thing is the price the knife dont sharpen it camr loose the compass pops out but hay wat do u want for ** bux
piece of junk. NOT sharpened at proper angle , will NOT cut (even) paper ! would take HOURS to recut edge ! handle is CHEAP PLASTIC LOL ! the stupid little compass not only works very poorly but THE NORTH AND SOUTH POINTERS ARE REVERSED ! this thing is a joke DO NOT BUY !
I bought this knife for my little brother and he loved it! He hasn't taking it off his belt since he opened it. i was very pleased about how the seath was made and the overall look of the entire piece. My brother just wanted it for looks and as a collectable so I don't know if it's durable or not. The only thing I was not pleased with was the compass. It came quick...but that's never an issue with overstock...
pretty good knife for the prize would reckmend to any one who just neds one around for emergy ( compass does not work so dont depend on it )
The knife seems to be of good quality though the blade may need to be sharpened somewhat. The compass works fine, but being inlaid in the knife handle seems a bit impractical. If you don't hold the handle perfectly level the disk in the compass gets stuck and won't turn. But this knife if worth the price without the compass. The sheath is also better quality than I expected. There is one loop at the top for a belt or strap. The sheath is made of a heavy-duty canvas which was a pleasant surprise. Even with a sharpened blade, you could place this knife in your pack and not worry about it cutting through anyything.
Standard issued Green Berret knife with small (not very practical) inlaid compass in the handle. Knife wasn't to sharp when I got it but after honing it on the stone it gained a good edge. The black finish is going to rub right off which is probably a good thing as I am not in the army and will be using this knife in the Utah mountains, so if I get lost or need to signal this black non-reflective service wouldn't do me much good. I have others though. This knife is the one you pull out in front of your friends, it means business, looks great and the handle fits into your palm to give great grip. Only problem I have with it is the sheath. It only has a belt loop and a knife this size should have leg straps on the sheath, I also already broke off the button that holds the handle in place while in the sheath before I even had a chance to use it. But overall the knife is what I am reviewing, I will buy a new sheath, this is a good buy and will last for a very long time. Good knife to have in any camping/survival situation. Thanks O!
