      I was very pleased with this unit. Time will tell how the batteries hold up but for now it is everything and a little more than what I had hoped for. The construction of the unit is excellent, a few height adjustments could be added to the handlebars, but other than that I am very pleased. I bought this for the wife and planned its used mostly for camping. It goes down the roadways and across the grass areas of the campgrounds without problems. Starting on an uphill climb requires a little push to get started but I recommend this to get around on. Especially when you look at the price of units like Segways and others that start in the thousands of dollars bracket.

      We got this for our grandchildren (9 & 4) for a Christmas present, but we gave it to them to play with on Thanksgiving - and did they play! The only part that we have found to complain about is that it doesn't stay charged long enough. The kids took turns riding and it gave them 30 minutes of fun and it charged up pretty fast. I don't know how long it will hold up, but we bought another one for double the fun. It is also an unusual item that no one has seen around here. I would recommend - it will keep them busy. As an aside, it will ride an adult easily on the street and in the grass.

      I bought 2 of these scooters. One of them didn't work, so I sent it back and got a replacement scooter. The replacement scooter didn't work. Received a replacement for the replacement. This scooter had a large dent near the motor, but it worked so I didn't care. 3 months later that motor no longer works. The other scooter if fun, but it seems like with these scooters you have a better chance of getting a lemon than one that actually works.

      The TRX Personal Transporter Scooter came with a bad battery. NO PROBLEM. I called the 1800 # on scooter. They are shipping a new pack of batteries. I went out and bought batteries myself also. This thing flies. Great for a door to door salesman like me with a bad back. I will be doubling or tripleing the number of doors i knock on in the evenings. An engineer friend of mine is building a quick change fitting so we can deplete one battery pack and then use the second that is being sent to me. This tool will earn me a fortune. Payoff in under one week. I will be buying a second for our second door to door salesman who accompanies me. Some tips to those buying this scooter. A cordless drill with a phillips bit and a socket set make replacing the battery a breeze. Call tech support (Emily was a big help) they stepped me thru the process. (Charge the scooter, remove cover, test output power of battery pack. Should read 36 volts, mine was 24 volts.) The scooter even comes with a small tool kit. All parts are available thru the 1800# . They even sold me a second battery case and two electric charger input plugs for my quick change battery conversion. Save the box and packaging (for returns). Lean forward when pulling the throttle. In the winter months my wife and i will be taking the scooter to warm weather tourist spots. Should be fun. MY SECOND CHOICE TO THIS **** SCOOTER WAS A 6000$ SEGWAY. Incredible. The scooter unlike a segway has 4 wheels to prevent tumbles. Skip the segway, buy the scooter and spend the ***** on great Italian meals. Happy Scooting.

      Our 8 yr old got this from Santa. She loves it. Can't say how long battery will run but I do know she rode it and rode it and rode it that first day. Easy to handle. Pulls even the adults easily. Great gift

    • Bad Bettery

      Finding a replacement battery is almost as hard as you could imagine. We have not and the darn thing only worked a few days then the battery won't stay charged. Bought last year, and never got to use. Gave to my grandson and we are still looking for a replacement battery. Be aware that they are not readily available.

    • Commuting

      I bought one of these about a 9 months ago and have been commuting to work (2 miles, 4 round trip) ever since. I've had to have a weld repaired and the fender fell off, but everything else still works great. The battery can just get me to work and back (level terrain) without charging, and the battery still holds a charge well. It is solidly built and fun to ride. I'm glad I bought it, and it has paid for itself in terms of gas/parking and/or bus passes already.
