We've had this set for a month and it is exactly as promised. Very sturdy. Our kids are on this everyday and when 3 kids are swinging high, the legs don't skip at all. It stays put!! The poles are nothing like the cheap sets you buy at Walmart. They are double the thickness of the smaller swings. You definitely need 2 people to set this up (at least at the final couple of steps) because it is pretty long and is hard to balance.

This set was purchased for my grandson's 3rd Birthday. First I must say this is another overstock exceptional item. I cannot say enough about the quality cedar or the other parts. Bolts are a sturdy gold color and the plastic is sturdy. The set is big.. thankfully we have a third acre so it looks great. It came in less than2 weeks and overstock worked with me as it was a Birthday gift. My husband worked on it for 14 hours the first day getting it only half way up it is very sturdy and probably would have went faster with 2 men building it. It is ideal for a number of children or one lucky child. I am so happy I purchased this item from overstock as the free shipping was worth it. Item weighs over 500 pounds as per shipping label.

I have purchased and assembled several kids' backyard swing sets over the years, both metal and wooden. I also have had to modify or reinforce all of them in one way or the other to withstand normal play stresses. I was looking for a swing set that was somewhere between the usual backyard set and the public playground set, and one that didn't require being set in concrete or anchored down. The Lifetime unit is by far the heaviest and stoutest that I have ever seen for backyard use. The structural tubing is heavy walled and all of the fasteners are of excellent quality. Everything fit together just as described in the instructions. The only issue, and this is NOT a complaint, is that the unit is heavy enough that I needed help from my son to set it up. My granddaughter and 2 of her friends can play and swing on it at the same time, and it barely moves at all. I can swing on it with her, and it barely moves at all. The Overstock price was very reasonable, and the delivery was very fast. Overall, I am very pleased with the entire transaction.

We bought this product b/c we thought our kids were on the older side of the age range for a swing set and we therefore decided not to buy a swing set. This product is in lieu of other playground equipment. I have 2 girls ages 5 and 7 who love the teeter totter. The older kids in the neighborhood (up to 5th grade) like it better than the zip line across the street b/c when you hit the ground, you can pop up. I do think there needs to be rules b/c it can be dangerous.... 2 hands at all times, no eating while you are on it, and no climbing on it while someone else is using it. Also, my old neighbor had one and took it with her when she moved. Great transitional outdoor toy.

I don't do reviews but, for this i will .My needs for a swing set were 1. nothing permanent 2. something for my 3 year old girl and my very active 5 year old boy 3. a decent price. This product seemed like a great middle ground for our current needs and I loved that it was fitness oriented. With my children's ages I also felt confident that we would get a good two years of use before my oldest son outgrew it. I found it for a great price with overstock and placed my order. My order took some time to be processed and in the mean time I came across some negative reviews I had not noticed before on the product. Once I started digging I found even more negative reviews. I decided to cancel the order and start again on my search for a good swing set that we could afford. Unfortunately even tho my request to cancel was placed well before it shipped, my order was never cancelled. From the moment the delivery man struggled to unload it, asking me for help because it was packaged so poorly my fears started to be reality. Yes, I should have refused delivery. The package was horribly damaged but, my kids had waited for this swing set and were insanely excited upon its delivery. Overstock had said if we weren't happy it could be returned so I took the chance and accepted it. About half way through the build I was so thankful for other peoples reviews and warnings. I would have lost my mind trying to build this thing with out them. 8 hours later the main swing set was constructed and we allowed the children on. Right away the swing set almost tipped over from the kids swinging. Even with the Anchors in the ground. After all the little issues, it turns out my very average sized 6 year old is to big for this swing set. It is not for 3-8 year old's as advertised. The companies pictures of older kids playing care free on this swing set is very misleading and dishonest in all reality. I have a neighbor who loved the different options of the swing set like the trampoline and climbing rope but, once her kids played on it she agreed that it was not built to hold the ages it advertised for. In my dealings with Overstock I have urged them to discontinue carrying this product. As far as a return after we tried it out? Yes, Overstock has said they would return it and I believe the person helping me did want to help but they need it packaged up tight for shipment. This means completely disassembling and getting new boxes delivered because the one it came in was destroyed in delivery. For the sake of my marriage in the end I kept it. So, my toddler has a new swing set and my older boy has to stay off or play extremely soft. Overstock is now shipping the random parts that came damaged or missing. A parents need to know issues before you buy: 1. Inadequate packaging for the weight and size of this product. Parts falling out all over the place upon delivery. 2. Miss printed instructions (no joke!) Luckily reviews had warned me to be "creative" during build and we were! even the demo pictures are printed backwards. We looked up other peoples real life pictures online to see how to build it when something just wasn't working. talk about bad product production and fallow through. 3. Build time is at least 7 plus hours for the main unit not including trampoline. 4. False advertising of age range. At best this is for 4 year old children max. the slide is tiny and weak. The swing seats are small. The entire swing set threatens to tip over even with anchors in the ground if a 5 or 6 year old swings normally. This by far was the biggest disappointment. To go through such lengths and then my son can not swing? 100% not acceptable.

The swingset came in one big long box. It was overwhelmign all the pieces at first but everything in the box was labeled, every piece of wood and little baggy was labeled so it was easy to inventory all the items. But once I organized all the pieces the directions was easy to follow and my father and us put it together in two days. The wood is a nice color and accurately pictured. A couple of pieces of wood had cracks down the middle which worried me about the sturdiness of the wood but then again I'm not a carpenter so not sure if it mattered since they were small. So far it is holding up well and we've been using it for a month now. The bolts that hold the slide down to the wood on the top part sticks out and it snags my daughter's pants every single time and caused holes other than that the slide is super fast and smooth. I had to cover the bolts with duck tape and that helped. My 2 year old and her friends loves it and has been rough on it and it's holding up well. The swing and monkey bars hang low but the swings are adjustable but the monkey bars aren't. I can't raise it any higher because it is hung on a rope and clamp and not chains like the swing. We like the swing set alot and would recommend it. It's definitely worth the money, this swingset is great!

Love it, only bad things is you have to buy your own lumber, but it supplies all the the bolts. Took about 2-3 days to set it up with 2 men. Its been 2 years and now the vinyl top is ripping so it needs some weather protection on it.

Great Playground once set up, but hardware was substandard. Some bolts broke while trying to put together. Instructions could have been clearer. Overall Grand daughter is thrilled with this playground. 2 1/2 years old and can go up the slide without help (previous slide incline was too steep). LOVES the bouncer. She will be able to grow into this and use it for years.

Shopped around & read lots of reviews - ended up with this because our space was narrow & would rather have tall swings that will last years than a small playset the'll outgrow soon. They LOVE it - 5 yr old has to jump up to get on & loves that it lets him swing high. Height of almost 10 ft and it is quite sturdy. Took less than 2 hrs to put together (needed ladder & 2-3 strong folks for the last 5 mins of assembly)

Directions recommend 2 people to put together. We needed a third and sometimes a fourth. Need muscles and patience!! holes don't always want to line up and directions are vague in sections. But my little guy and his cousins love it! so it was worth the effort.

Build in play in one day- well-not with one person maybe 4. But after building for two and 1/2 days the kids got the playground they dreamt of. They love it and it looks beautiful. The boxes are full of additional pieces just in case of damage or repair. We are very happy with it but remember it does take time to set up- so don't tell the children one day!

It will take you some time to put it together. We actually reinforced the back brace with bolts instead of screws, and added 2 more. My son (2 yrs old) was afraid of tubular slides, but for some reason as soon as this one went up, he was flying down within a day. It's not for a novice handyman, so be sure to have help if you're not used to doing work around the house. And you can not beat the price. I found many used ones on Craigslist selling for more than this brand new. Terrific product, couldn't be happier.

This is a great swingset, and delivery was easy. They called to schedule a time to deliver, and we were able to specify where we wanted the boxes dropped off. The wood was straight and not warped, and we had all the necessary pieces. Most holes are not pre-drilled, so you don't have the problem that I saw with other swingset reviews where the holes don't match up properly. However, it does take quite a long time to build. It's not difficult, just a lot of pieces. My husband and I spent about 8 hours on a Friday, 5 hours on Saturday, 3 hours Sunday, and 3 hours Monday to put it together. We were juggling swingset construction with entertaining a 2 and 3 year old, so I'm sure it didn't go as quickly as it could if we didn't have "helpers". Overall, I am so glad we chose this one! The monkey bars are a huge hit with my daughters, and the slide is really fast. I do wish the roof was wood instead of a tarp, and that the area at the top of the rockwall was a bit more enclosed so they could really have a playhouse. But, we could easily modify that with a few more boards and screws. Overall, this is a GREAT buy. Sturdy, looks great, lots of options included, and fast free shipping.

Just put together this swingset and for the price, it's unbeatable. Either hire somoene to put it together for you or set aside an entire day to do so. But, once it's assembled it's pretty great! My two year old loves it. It is a little smaller than the playsets you see in schools and on playgrounds. I would say this is a good playset from 2 to 5 or 6 but not up to 10 as stated. Not sure what the wood or stain is. It says "Chinese Cedar' and smells like cedar. My concern with wood from China is that it contains some harmful chemical. It is stained and the stain does leak a little upon assembly but it seems fine for playing on. Will update later when we have had it for 6 months. Cannot beat the price or shipping!

The quality is perfectly fine for a playset of this size and price. I initially found this swingset on another site, not wanting to buy a wooden playscape, and looked up reviews and pricing for several weeks before purchasing. Overstock had the best pricing. The quality is great. The pieces are all durable and in good condition. It did take 4 adults to get this put together over 2 days. Total, it took us all about 7 hours with the addition of power tools. If I were to complain about anything it would be this: The standing ledge near the climbing rope was impossible to put on the playset and still allow it to be put together properly. This might be a manufacturer's defect because I believe it was sized incorrectly for this playset. We removed it, moved bars around, ropes around, etc, and in the end, we chose to not try to make it part of the final product. Which was fine, since our daughter is older, and tall. She won't miss it. Overall, we are pleased. We have not put the misting unit or the shades on the playscape yet because of the cooler temperatures, so I cannot review these portions at this time because we chose to wait.

My Father and I put this together in one solid day. 9-5. We did start some mild assembly of the first step the night before and organized the parts which likely added an hour or two. Easy to assemble with very good directions. We followed them to a T and it worked out well. I will say that the roof assembly was only for the agile and steady, as you are up in the air and balancing on the rails. A very large ladder may have worked but I just climbed it. Some mild scratches here and there but minimal. I did NOT receive any touch up paint as others have reported. I will try to make a call and get some as I do worry about rust up here in PA. The playset is solid and just made it thru 60 mph wind gusts of Sandy last night and did not budge. Thing was 600+ lbs shipped. I have to really watch (I am his shadow) my 3 year-old as it is too advanced for him but I did not want to buy something smaller and upgrade in a year`or 2. Probably good for 5-10 year kiddos. Lots of fun so far. I can swing without it tied down or anchored and I go about 185 lbs. I climb all over it...but no slide. My son races down that slide like nobody's business though. Can't say I like to trim the grass around it and may be forced to make a "play area" to save my sanity in the spring. We shall see. Very pleased. Hope for no rust...that's my ONLY concern. Plan to get years and years out of it.

This is a great outdoor activity for children (psst and adults too). We bought this for our kids last year. It has lasted through an entire summer and winter (snow and freezing rain). It is very durable and fun. There is a safety cord attached so the seat does not hit the ground for younger kids. The line can be removed for older children (and adults). When the line is removed the seats go even higher! It is really a fun activity for kids! I would not use this for children younger than 3. A 3yr old would have to have an adult next to them just in case they were not holding on. The teeter totter goes pretty high.... but there are comfortable and safe handles for each child to grasp. They also stick out far enough for children to double up on each end (2 kids per end). There is also padding on the middle of the handle bars just in case a child bumps their chin. I looked around at teeter totters and I found this model to be more durable than the one that teeters and swings in a circle. The mounting on this one seems very secure and I think it will last a long time. My friend bought this model used and it still looks like new!
