Good Kayak Mover!
 from Florida,  Apr 26, 2012

I saw this kayak mover on several websites, cheapest price was right here! If you look around, several people who own this mover all say the same things: This mover is a good product, the straps that come with the mover are very long, and that the tires smell. I have read from other users that it is possible to use the straps in such a way that when you pull your kayak along, the mover will collapse on itself. Just be mindful of where you place the straps. Others have stopped using the straps and chose to use a long bungee cord, which also works to great effect. I would like to add that when I received my kayak mover, one of the tire's inner tubes was punctured. I emailed Swagman directly and received a replacement tube for FREE! It was a pain to mount this inner tube in such a small tire, but it is possible. Despite the tire, I still would have bought this kayak mover and am completely satisfied with it.

Great help for getting the boat to the water!
from Boston, MA,  Sep 16, 2011

This holder is a great little device to keep in your vehicle or at home to assist you in hauling your kayak to the water. I use it to travel about 400 yards to the beach and it works like a charm.

kayak cart
 from florida,  Oct 16, 2010

I love this cart,of course there are better ones for much more money but this one works great. A hugh help for a woman paddler. Bungees hold the kayaks on the cart better than the straps furnished. The tires to the cart really stink so leave them outside for a few days first.

Good product
 from Massachusetts,  Sep 21, 2010

Overall this product worked very well. We used it to move a 40 pound kayak over very uneven terrain. My wife found she could use it by herself with no problems. The only issues with it were: 1) No instructions on how to load the kayak 2) No picture to show how to load the kayak - on the box, it actually shows the person carrying the kayak on his shoulder! What we figured out was you can either rest the end of the kayak on the carrier and strap it down (straps are provided) through a part of the kayak so it doesn't slide. This has you supporting half the weight of the kayak, and you have to make very wide turns. You can also rest the middle of the kayak on the carrier - you support very little weight, and you turn more easily. But when you secure the straps, make sure you don't use the strap attached to the carrier, as if you catch that the wrong way, it will cause it to collapse as you are walking with the kayak. Overall, very good product, and it appears very sturdy.

mighty kayak cart
 Sep 16, 2010

I think this is an excellent product BUT, I am not sure I am using it properly. It collapses when I try to use it and there were no instructions as to how to hook the straps. I am trying bungee cords to see it that works better. Any suggestions? as for using to to help load the kayak on the car, again, there was no instruction included and you have to figure it out yourself by trial and error.

Easy to use
from Boston MA,  Jul 13, 2009

Being an older woman I needed help transporting my kayak down to the lake and this certainly meets my needs. It is well built, easy to assemble and especially like how the wheels come off-I can take the holder into my kayak with me and not worry about it being stolen on shore. I would definitely recommend this product for ease in moving my kayak.

itworkswell
 from Norton,ma.,  Apr 30, 2009

I bought it so my wife could get her canoe to and from the water. She is extremely happy with the carrier and doesn't have to depend on me being around. The only thing we don't yet know is it's durability over the long haul. But it looks like it will last.
