Strider PREbike Balance Running Bike

2 year old grandson seems to love the bike although he is just learning.

We purchased this bike as a Christmas present for my 2.5 yr old son. We already have a big wheel type tricycle that he can peddle but we wanted him to learn some balance before we got him a big kid bike. I am hoping to skip the training wheels. This was recommended to us by the pro at the local bike shop. We gave it to my son for Christmas and he LOVES it. The bike itself is well made and very simple to put together. Although I wish it had rubber wheels, the plastic ones are holding up well on the concrete. We started with the seat a little low until my son got used to walking with it... and have raised the seat where now he is almost on his toes. It only took a few days for him to figure out how to get going pretty fast. While he hasn't raised his feet up and balanced completely, he can move fast! Faster than we can walk along side him! Great purchase and I highly recommend it for anyone with toddlers who are ready for a bike. I only gave this 4 stars because the box itself was banged up in shipping and while the product wasn't damaged, it was rattling around in the box. I did contact Overstock and they offered to replace it if anything was damaged or if it were missing parts.

Great product for a child wanting to experience a bike. Our little guy has a tricycle, but often just scoots with his feet. He loves this balance bike! He feels like a big kid! (He is 22 months). He does wobble, but doesn't tip over. Fits him well too! It is expensive, but I think it will last forever!!!
