This Steiner Sports glass display case features an authentic piece of the 'Black' from Yankee Stadium. A Fixture at the Original Yankee Stadium (1923-2008) the centerfield bleachers commonly referred to as 'The Black' served two distinct purposes. Located directly behind the pitcher's back 'The Black' functioned as batter's eye providing contrast against the white baseball for purposes of hitting. Secondly it served as a target for some of the most mammoth home runs in Yankee Stadium history. This is an authentic piece of 'The Black' from the Original Yankee Stadium and comes with a glass display case and an engraved nameplate. Each piece of authentic black bleacher comes complete with a Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity and an MLB Hologram of Authenticity are included with this piece.
