First off, Overstock.com had the best price on this bike out of all the sites and stores I researched. I have had this bike for about a month now and use it 5 - 6 days a week. I had been looking for an exercise bike because running on the treadmill has become difficult for me with knee pain (high impact in running), and as soon as I got this bike I was instantly able to start out with 45 minute workouts (versus only 25 I could do on the treadmill). Unfortunately, about one week after this bike delivered I had a fall outside the house and bruised up both of my knees. Still I decided to try continuing with my bike to see if I could bare it with hurt knees, and I had no problem keeping up with my workouts on the bike while my knees healed from the fall. This bike is VERY low impact and gives you a great chance for a workout with 10 different resistance levels. Plus I love to add an extra 10 minutes of just arms at the end of my workout - you can't do that with other bikes! The arms feature on this one is excellent. One note, if you want to do arms at the same time as pedaling with your legs, you won't get any resistance on the arms. You only get resistance on the arm pedals when you are not using the leg pedals. We had one minor issue when assembling the bike because the instructions did not show one of the pieces you need to put together the seat adjustment bar, but fortunately that piece had been included in the hardware and we were able to figure it out for ourselves. Two of us put this bike together in a couple of hours. The bike is very quiet (unlike our treadmill) which makes it great for watching TV while working out. The only thing they could do to improve this bike would be to add a cup/bottle holder for your water. I definitely recommend this bike for anyone, but especially for those who need low impact cardio workouts!Read More
I purchased it for a medical practice and its been a really great success!!! I love the feature that has both the hand and leg exerciser. Really neat i have had it for few days now and its has been great easy to assemble, the quality is really good.Read More
The bike did not come assembled as suggested. It took about an hour to assemble and the directions weren't that difficult. The tension for the pedals works fine, but there is not a tension adjuster for the arm crank. Otherwise it is just an average exercise bike and a comparable bike could probably be found for less money!Read More
not very pleased little to say thats good ,its a piece of junk i feel i was cheatedRead More
I have been enjoying the fitness bike for 6 months. I was able to comfortably adjust it to fit myself and have used it 2-3 times a week. Seems to be holding up well.Read More
This exercise bike is very well constructed using heavy metel where needed. I did have problems with the seat seal working loose during use. I drilled holes thru which I placed a rod to prevent the seal from moving. As others stated, the arm crank is of little value, but the main leg workout is smooth and effective. This equipment will do the job for my knee rehab.Read More

Exercise Bike Buying Guide
When it comes to personal fitness, exercise bikes are one of the most convenient and effective options available. Exercise bicycles, also called indoor bikes or studio cycles, provide a great workout with much less stress on knees and ankles than outdoor exercise. By itself or as part of a home gym, an exercise bike is a great investment in your long-term health. This exercise bike buying guide will help you figure out how to buy a stationary bike that will fit your needs and total fitness goals.
FAQs about Exercise Bikes
Although there are many ways to stay fit in the comfort of your home, exercise bikes are inexpensive options for home exercise equipment. They work your legs while simultaneously giving you a healthy cardiovascular workout; however, not all exercise bikes are created equal. When choosing a stationary bike, consider the type, price and size to find the right one for you.
Best Features of an Elliptical Machine
Get fit minus the unnecessary joint pain by using an elliptical machine. Developed to provide a full-body aerobic and toning workout that was also low-impact, the fluid motions of an elliptical machine protect your joints as you exercise. When you workout with an elliptical trainer, you get a lower body and upper body workout, thanks to the pedals and the moving handles. By avoiding injury with an elliptical workout, you'll be able to have a constant home fitness regimen that keeps you in shape and on the move.
Treadmills vs Elliptical Trainers
New variations of tried-and-true exercise machines are always being introduced to the market as the technology of exercise equipment improves. Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines
