Therapy Rider
 from Houston,  Nov 28, 2008

I purchased this bike after arthroscopic hip surgery (at 27) so I could do my 3 times a day therapy at home. Fast shipping, there was some assembly required which took more than one person but was not rocket science. It is compact and very quiet, I can use it easily while others in the room watch tv at a normal level. It is light in weight and somewhat easy to move around. Could easily fit in a medium-sized closet. A little wobbly but I have never felt unstable. Computer is easy to use, tracks distance, mph and "calories burned." 8 resistance settings make it perfect for a quick resistance free therapy ride or upping it to really burn some calories. I'm not training for a race or anything, but for an affordable at home cardio machine, this is a great upright bike to own, for therapy or a workout.

Easy to Assemble- Under an 1hr.. Yay!
from East Northport, NY,  Jan 6, 2011

This bike was put together in less than an hour. It rides great! And the resistance is awesome. I work up a sweat. Great addition to my small home gym. Also it is easily moved and can be placed anywhere. a large space is not needed for this item. It has a digital reader and tells me how many calories I've burned. Only thing I wish it had was a place to enter my weight so that the calories burned would be more accurate. All the same, great item! makes a great gift for anyone looking to get fit and stray healthy.

it broke!!
from los angeles, ca,  Jan 8, 2012

i had only owned this bike for 3 weeks until it broke down on me. it might have been the specific item that was delivered to me, but i'm extremely disappointed. now i'm only 150 lbs and i was in the middle of a workout when the pedals decided to give out. so i decided to open up the main body and thought the chain might have come loose. turns out it was the welding between the pedal core part and the main body that came apart!! and i'm talking about steel parts here. i realized the welding was done soo poorly on the inside! the one thing this bike doesnt tell you is that you shouldn't be pedaling while standing, which is typical for a work out, and which was exactly when the bike broke. i guess you get what you pay for since it was a cheap product. wouldve been a great buy had there been a warning to only sit on the bike while pedaling.

highly recommended
 from Green Bay,WI,  Nov 6, 2010

This has been the best experience with an internet ordered appliance for me in many years. The bike is fabulously engineered and I am quite handy with tools so it slipped together with no difficulty at all. Even a person just moderately skilled with hand tools should have no problem assembling this unit. The bike itself is very comfortable to pedal and I found the seat to be quite large and comfortable. I haven't used the monitors as I gauge my workout by time and the tension setting. It is easy to move around on carpeting and also feels quite steady in use. The piece was nicely and securely packed and arrived without damage.

For the price it really works!
from Pittsburgh, PA,  Feb 24, 2012

I purchased the stamina to start an exercise regimen and improve mobility. So far it is helping me to get stronger. I can even ride while watching TV, without disturbing others. The bike is easy to assemble, it took approximately 1 hour. The only issue is the monitor, it is kind of confusing to understand. So I don't even bother. However, the bike is just right for me.

It is a good investment with one exception.
from Hagerstown Md,  Feb 10, 2012

The bike suits me fine Only problem is I must take the batteries out after a workout less they go dead in three days of use. Other than that I'm two hundred thirty pounds and the bike is steady and strong.

  • How accurate was the sizing? It was a lot better than the recumbent bike I had
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. It seems to be very good.
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? I'm not sure if it is a defect or not, but it runs through batteries every three days.

I Did It!!
from Westchester County, NY,  Mar 7, 2011

Okay, I was a bit intimidated when I took this baby out of the box.. but, I put it together. It was time consuming, but, that's because I am not all that mechanically inclined and I had the "help" of my two sons, ages 7 & 12. Afte we got it together I tightened everything up and all looks great. Looking forward to starting my exercise routine with this stationary bike. It is lightweight and compact which is a plus. I would recommend this product.

Stamina exercise bike
 from ny,  Apr 17, 2012

Bike seems great for the price.. I am only riding for ten minutes a day so far but have had no issues or concerns. I do wish the monitor was electric, but on the other hand I like that I can put take it anywhere in the house or outside deck. I watch the calories I burn and miles I ride, it's fun and quiet enough to watch TV.

Good bike for the money
from Kansas City, KS.,  Jan 20, 2012

I've used the bike several times and it works quite well. It's definitely a good value for the price. It's quiet and smooth operation. The heart rate monitor doesn't seem to register the same as the pulse monitor that I wear, but that's not a big deal to me. The only thing I don't like is the tension doesn't seem to change much from 2 to 5. But that's not a deal breaker. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Took me about an hour at most. Hooking up the tension cable might require two people. I would definitely recommend this bike, especially for the price. I did a lot of shopping before buying this one and you can't beat the price or quality.

  • How accurate was the sizing? Good.

Quality product, excellent value
from Philadelphia, PA,  Dec 6, 2011

I was looking for a compact exercise bike that was sturdy and inexpensive - this bike fits the bill and then some! Once assembled, the bike is extremely sturdy, and the ability to adjust for balance with the back wheels is a great feature. I really feel like I'm getting a tough workout on this bike, and having the calorie/distance/pulse etc electronic display is a very nice touch. Although others noted that assembly was difficult, I'm not terribly handy but was able to assemble the bike in under an hour. I'd read in some reviews that the tension wire was really tricky, but if you hook the lower part first, then pull it up to attach at the top, it's really easy. The only part I struggled with a little was the sleeve that covers the front pole - for some reason this was an extremely tight fit; but with an extra pair of hands, I was able to fix it. I cannot recommend this bike highly enough - the overall look, feel and functionality really do belie its $$$ price-tag! Yet another excellent purchase from O.Co!

  • How accurate was the sizing? Sizing was exactly as described
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Extremely high quality product
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Arrived in perfect condition

Positive Review. Just what I needed!
from Gordonville, Texas,  Aug 30, 2011

With the exception of a cable that provides control over pedal speed, assembly was a very easy. The cable just doesn't seem well designed; at least, for home assembly. Seat is large enough but lacks overall comfort; especially, after the first 10 minutes or so. The unit is stable and should use the user well. Price-wise, the bike is an excellent value.

  • How accurate was the sizing? Perfect size for my use.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Quality seems to be sufficient.
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? None that I am aware of at this point.

Don't be intimidated, I love this bike.
from Glade Hill, VA,  Jun 7, 2011

Okay, so I received it around 8:30 PM (UPS was running late). Put it together alone: I am female, 37 years old, 5'3", and I am obese. I read the reviews about everyone having trouble with the tension cable, but nowhere did I see that anyone actually got a pair of pliers, held the tension together so they could connect the two cables. Wha-La! All the parts were there, some screws and washers already attached to the seat and the monitor, just had to take them out and attach to the bike. In all it took me about 1.5 to 2 hours, but then again it was only me... After I had it all done I lowered the seat to the lowest it would go and actually started to sweat. Not so sure I like the seat, yeah it's cushioned, but it sure does cause some soreness, even after one or two uses @ 20 minutes. The back "wheels" are adjustable so you can level it on any surface which I like very much. My husband has yet to try it, but I know he'll be happy with it. This bike is just as good as the one I used at the YMCA. I would purchase again. Awesome deal. Going to order a gel seat cover for it, I've read reviews that say it really helps.
