Average Toy ... made in China piece of junk.
This would be a great toy if it could last a few days... no sturdiness whatsoever. The wind might break it. Buy something made of metal. This is a very thin, weak plastic. Great idea, but a junk product. Smithsonian brands sound very american.... don't be fooled. Its XXXXX garbage. Save your dollars... buy half the toys for twice the price and end up with something nice! Wow, that even rhymed.
- How accurate was the sizing? Haven't tried the thing on my body... lol.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very flimsy plastic... the wind might break it. The focus adjust knob is very aggressive...needs a fine adjust knob for kids functionality.
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes, mostly.... it did come with the inherent flaw that I can best describe a "XXXXX piece of junk defect".

Smithsonian Microscope Kit
My child was really crushed on this Christmas morning. Product was cheaply made and didnt work at all. Very misleading to use the Smithsonian tradmark to sell product made in China. Does Overstock chek out their merchandise before putting it on line? I'm returning it immediately.
