It was well worth the money. I would definitely order it again. It is heavy and warm. You would love it. The only thing is trying to stick it back in the bag. Make sure you stick one sack at a time. Other wise it will not work. when put both together it fits a queen size bed. very warm that is for sure.

I bought this bag specifically for using in deep cave systems which are notoriously wet and maintain a constant temperature ranging from 35'-50' depending on the cave system. After having read the other reviews disputing the bag's 0' rating, I decided this bag would probably be adequate for my intended use. To ensure this, I decided to do several test runs in the open outdoors. I used the bag on three separate campouts, one in which I was dry with outdoor temperatures of 25' F, one in which I was damp at 32' and another in which I crawled into the bag soaking wet at 45' after subjecting myself to mild hypothermia (shivering for 30 minutes). Each of these three experiments offered a warm, comfortable night. In each of the trial runs I was wearing polyester long johns. Next I intend to do a test run at 32 or lower soaking wet.

    • How accurate was the sizing? Adequate
    • Please tell us about the quality of the product. High quality for a mid-range product
    • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes

I have not used the sleeping bags & they appeared to be well made/designed from initial inspection, BUT they are not! After it was laundered once in a front-loading washing machine as instructed (I usually wash clothes/bedding before use), the filling/insulation of the one of the sleeping bag at the foot end of the bag fell apart (the originally continuous pieces of insulation inside the bag is now in lumps causing multiple large bare uninsulated areas). And after closer examination of the bag, I realized this bag is sewn differently from other sleeping bags; on my LLBean bag, the outside & inside fabric is sewn together to form closed pockets to hold/lock the insulation in place but with these LEDGE bags, the outside fabric is just sewn to one layer of insulation & the inside fabric is sewn separetely to the 2nd layer of insulation, so the outside & inside fabrics are not sewn together, therefore the insulation easily breaks free from the seams & lumps up/falls apart. I'm stuck wi...
