Living in Atlanta, we only get a few snows but when it snows everyone gets excited! I have eight grandchildren so on christmas night each child who was old enough got to chose their sled.....pandemonium broke out and I think that they were the highlight of the Nanna and Pappa presents! Now all we need is snow, although they work well on carpets of wet leaves!

The sleds were the perfect size for our family. Short enough for the children - ages 3 to 7 - to go down the snow hills themselves but long enough to include an adult. Very fast so needed an adult to help stop them at the bottom. So much better than saucers that spin. Of course there is no steerring so we used them only on small hills. BTW - the price was excellent.

This was sent to Pennsylvania for my grandson's birthday, which was Christmas Day. They already had snow on the ground and were pelted with more the week after his birthday, as well as another snow storm the week after that. I have not heard anything negative; as long as the exterior is not punctured by hitting a large rock, which I pray does not happen, the tube should last long enough to enjoy in the creek this summer!

my grandson is a large 4 yr. old. I bought several snow toys. But this was his favorite. He felt comfortable on the snow with it. He didn't have any fears. I would suggest it for the first timers. worked out great. Still holding air after a month.

Busted five minutes after arrival. Children were excited to try them out. Fresh snowfall in Ohio. 10 year old sat down---BAM--a major blow out. 12 year old tried the second one. Same result. They will be returned. Not Pleased!!!

this is the second time I have ordered these for a community "sled hill" and the adults like these sleds since they are smaller so you do not necessarily need to rope to pull them since they are small enough for kids to carry up, the stack into each other for easy storage, and are made in the USA. The plastic is pretty dense and tough since these take a real beating from kids and adults of all ages-the first batch of 12 we ordered we only broke two and that is because they get very rough and frequent usage with kids jumping on them and all sorts of crazy stuff that happens when you have have 5-6 little boys trying to pile on top of each other (helmets may be required next)---the other big pro to them being smaller is that you can ditch the rope so the kids have to haul them up the hill and the rope doesn't keep getting caught underneath when they slide down.

When you get the itch to go for a mountain stroll, snowshoes allow you to traverse beautiful terrain otherwise inaccessible. Snowshoes spread your weight evenly across a large, flat surface area, which helps keep you "above" the snow. They won't make you float magically above the snow, but they will help out in deep powder. When you are ready to strap on a pair, use this buying guide to help figure out what would work best for you.
While colder temperatures and winter weather can be fun and even enchanting as holidays draw near, a sweeping cold front or an early blizzard may catch many unprepared as seasons change. Are you ready for winter?
