I bought this because I had borrowed one from a friend and it was soft and warm . This one was a bit scratchy and lighter but it did keep me very warm. I did not know there were different types of thermal underwear but now I do. This one may get better with time and washings but it was not what I was expecting. Silversong 2

I went to Boston from California in February and was worried I would be cold. Kenyon Women's stretch Thermal Bottoms kept me warm and toastie. Plus, they were very comfortable. When washed they dried quickly and still were comfortable and toastie. And of course since I purchased them on Overstock.com, I saved money.

I've never had merino wool before because of the price but we needed something warm for some high-altitude hiking. The Minus33 merino wool base layer top fits amazingly well. It is incredibly warm, very comfortable, and really feels nice on the skin, whether sweaty or not. The quality is excellent, the material is comfortably and smoothly fitting - not loose, not tight, and doesn't bind or gap anywhere. The sleeves are plenty long and the fit through the shoulders is good (I'm broad shouldered and this is sometimes problematic). I even slept in it very comfortably. it washes very well and hasn't lost its shape or fit, at least after the initial wash. I'm 5'5 and 130 lbs and the medium fit me perfectly.

the material does not cling to my pants. the quality is excellent. I hand wash and they dry fast.

The fabric on this thermal crew top feels wonderfully soft; it's the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the package. Be mindful that this top is very snug in fit, and you should probably go up a size when ordering if you're planning on wearing it for activities that require a lot of arm motion or if you like a more relaxed fit to your clothes. However, even though I ordered a medium and probably *should* return it, I don't want to do without it for even one day. I walk the dog early in the morning and late at night, in temperatures as low as 5 degrees, and this thermal top keeps me so warm, that I'm just going to order another one in large. If you want to compare your size, I'm 5' 6" and slender. So far I've washed it about 10 times and it's holding up very well. I only wish it were available in more colors.

I thought these thermals were not very soft or comfortable and they tended to fade after 2 washings. I had borrowed some from a friend and loved those .That is what prompted me to buy these. These were thinner and much rougher. They did keep me warm as promised, just not in the soft comfort I was expecting. Sorry.

Needed to replace a lightweight silk thermal bottom which had worn out. I couldn't find a like product in silk, so decided to try these. Exactly what I wanted, light enough to wear under slacks to my chilly office every day, yet keeps me warm. Also better than silk in that I can machine wash & dry with no special treatment. Fit was perfect (size S) -- I usually wear size 6 or 8. Will look for this brand again next time I need this type of garment.

I can't speak highly enough of Minus 33's 100% merino wool clothing! After scouring hundreds of online reviews, I purchased this Minus33 Women's 'Liberty' Merino Wool Lightweight 1/4-zip Base Layer Top in grey with the intention of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. This turned out to be my Every Day Shirt on the trail. Unless you try it, you just won't be able to believe how ideal this shirt is! The knit is fine and I did have to be careful to not catch it in the buckle of my hip belt. It feels like the softest thinnest t-shirt; not a single itch or scratch! What they say about Merino wool is true ... it does not hold body stink like synthetics do! The seams are all well made and comfortable. Never had any problems with the zipper. The sleeves are slightly on the long side but then I'm short and the sleeves served well to pull down over my hands somewhat when I didn't quite need gloves. This is NOT a heavy shirt! It's supremely lightweight. Machine wash and dry, too! (I was always sure to never dry hot) AND they have really big sizes! Just can't say enough good things about it! This is a hands down winner for me. It's going to last me forever, too!
When purchasing ski apparel , it's best to think in terms of layering. Layering helps keep out the cold and wet of the winter environment while keeping perspiration off of your skin, so you stay warm and comfortable. Layering snow apparel also gives you the ability to adjust your warmth to fluctuating environmental conditions while participating in snow sports . Buying Ski Apparel: Shop for quality synthetic or natural fiber ski apparel base layers that wick moisture and feel warm and soft on your skin. Some popular performance base layer fabrics include merino wool, silk and polypropylene. Read More
