I am thrilled with the doll house kit. It arrived to me in Canada within a week and even with shipping and dollar conversion this is the best deal around. I haven't started to put it together yet because I am saving it for a winter project.

The description is not very explanitory. The product was not very good quality and the pop out pieces broke alot because they were not punched out well. Over all i was not very satisfied with the product.

This is such a great set! It takes a little time, patience and creativity but I was able to outfit an entire dollhouse and received many compliments on the outcome. It is not for people who are expecting museum quality pieces but it is very cute when painted, stained and decorated. I would not recommend this furniture for children to play with but if you have the time and inclination to be creative I am sure you will enjoy the results.

I haven't started the project yet.... but I have done these types of kits as a teenager! I wouldn't suggest this type of kit for a dollhouse that children will be playing with... It's more for show! It's more for anyone who enjoys doing crafts and doesn't want to pay $35.00 or more for just one item... 6 furnished rooms for the price of one item is a good trade off... This suited my needs and I'm very happy!! Mare

Very flimsy material. Could not get pieces to stick together. Couldn't even finish one room. Not for play, a child would break the furniture the first time used. I gave up putting it together. My husband and I spent a whole afternoon trying to put one room together and finally gave up. A waste of money.

This kit was great! It was just what is said it would be and was actually easier to punch out than I imagined it would be so I am very pleased. The item arrived within a very quick amount of time which was great since it was a gift. I was not quite as please with the fact that two of the six rooms were not in their original plastic wrap and not in any wrap at all. The whole product was there and the directions but it didn't make it look so good for gift giving when I intended to wrap them as six different gifts. I would have liked for it to be in some type of package. The product was not damaged so in the long run, all was well for the cost of the item.

putting this together was a family affair, it was a lot of work, but a hotmelt glue gun helped a lot. the furniture was great

I was on a quest to find something nice, yet inexpensive for my daughter's dollhouse. Overstock.com came to my rescue yet again! I still have to assemble the pieces together (which I didn't realize at the time of purchase), but as the mother of five it was a great bargain and my daughter is thrilled!

great transaction products just as described. i will definitely order from overstock in the future.i am not just waiting for my points from my points to show up and then the transaction will be perfect.i have also enjoyed the gift ideas that I have been sent from the overstock website into my email. the products were the cheapest on the web and i cant wait until i can purchase more items .

I have purchased the doll house and furniture what a terrific price. I checked out stores everywhere the price can't be beat. I gave it a 4star because of the sanding and gluing of these products other than that it is a great deal for a 4 yr old for xmas she will be surprised.

This is a great set for the price. Wood quality is very good. Construction instructions are easy to follow. Adult supervision and help required for children under age 16 or so.

Having read the reviews AFTER I ordered the item, I was anticipating it's arrival with some trepidation. However, I found the pieces easy to punch out, resulting in very little splintering. Other than that, you need to have a lot of patience....to the point where making this furniture takes on the qualities of a therapeutic experience. I am making it for little girls to play with so I added 'backs' to things, like the stove & fridge to make them a little more sturdy. If you have never worked with bare wood before, remember that you need to sand, finish and then sand again to get a smooth surface. And you have to use super glue, so buy some gloves! I glued my fingers together. :-) Finally, it's not something you will complete in a weekend, so plan ahead. I got some major pieces done in time for Christmas. The remainder will be an ongoing project~I plan to let the girls decide what I should put together next and to let them do the painting.

I HAVE NEVER ATTEMPED TO ASSEMBLE DOLL FURNITURE, BUT SEEING THE PRICES OF FULLY ASSEMBLED, AND PAINTED FURNITURE AT THE STORES, IT WAS JUST TOO EXPENSIVE TO FURNISH MY DOLLHOUSE ALL AT ONE TIME. THE CUTOUTS WERE SO EASY ON SOME, I DID NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. HOWEVER THE PIANO WAS A LITTLE HARDER TO PUT TOGETHER. I THEN MADE CUSHIONS FOR ALL THE CHAIRS, BEDSPREADS, DRAPES, AND PAINTED ALL MY FURNITURE IN OFF WHITE. I NOW HAVE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL AND FUN TO PLAY WITH. I AM HOPING AN OUTDOOR FURNITURE KIT IS AVAILABLE SOON.

I found this to be an excellent project for my daughter's dollhouse. It was easy to build the pieces and fun to stain and upholster them too.

The furniture kit is a great value if and only if you have patience and have some fine motor skills -- I'm a little short in both departments, but nonetheless have so far assembled 2.5 rooms. I can't say the results are fabulous, but they are very imaginative and cute. I think once they are painted the flaws (my fault) will be hidden. One BIG hint: the directions say to use Super Glue to assemble the furniture -- DO NOT! The thin plywood just absorbed the glue and wouldn't stick. Get yourself a small hot glue gun and use that, or use carpenter's or wood glue. My husband is assembling the Laurel Doll House using hot glue and carpenter's glue and it's moving right along. The directions are very, very clear, so if you follow them carefully, you'll end up with a nice house full of furniture. Just start with a simple piece first, not the living room couch as I did...

I love the kit, however it is a little hard to put togather even with the best glue our hobby shop had. As far as safty, there is a lot of splinters to watch for while sanding.

This item wasn't quite what I thought it should be. I was looking for something to go in a child's doll house. This wasn't very sturdy or easily put together. It would be more for a hobby or collector, it will not stand up to a child handling it.

I didn't realize that "assembly required" meant that this is just a box of wood panels with shapes to punch out and glue together, upholster, etc. I didn't open it (gift for my neice),but I don't think it includes the fabric parts, as pictured. Not bad for someone who wants a project, but overpriced for what it is.

I bought this kit for my neice's new dollhouse. When it arrived, I was surprised to find that it was only plywood with pre-cut patterns. The assembly required was a little more than I bargained for. The "kit" requires all pieces to be separated from the original piece of plywood and then sanded, stained, and glued together. None of the stain, sandpaper, or glue was included. I was not prepared to begin such a large project. I plan to return it. I think it would be a great kit, however for someone who builds dollhouses as a hobby and has plenty of time to build the items and then the creativity to try to add touches like seat cushions, etc.

Be sure to have the time it will take for the desired look you are wanting... It takes a lot of patience and time dedicated for that perfect touch... This is A perfect father daughter bonding expierence and memory that will last for ever... The Idea Gift for your Pre-teen or Teenage Daughter or Granddaughter, they should be old enough to appreciate it and willing to take good care of it on their own. This is meant to be passed down as an heirloom in the family... I believe it will for ours... We love it!
