I finally had the chance to mount this red dot on one of my guns and than I took it to the range, the red dot is clear and very easy to use. i am very pleased with this red dot and I would recommend this to my friends.

I mounted this scope on a semi-auto 12ga. shotgun for turkey hunting. The scope was easy to sight in and handled the recoil of 3" magnum loads. The adjustable brightness settings are great for changing from dark morning/overcast hunts to sunny days. The variable reticles are an option not seen on scopes at this price and quality. I have not gotten a shot at a gobbler yet, but hope to soon.

After ordering and having to return two other red dot sights from other sources for my S&W 22A-1 due to their fixed bases which did not fit my pistol, overstock.com came through with this Simmons ShotDot 1X30mm Red Dot Sight! This sight fit my S&W 22A-1 like a glove and looks and feels terrific on my pistol! The sight picture picks up very fast when I shoot the pistol with this red dot sight installed too. I love the super clear sight view and choice of four different reticles offered by this sight as well. Everyone who has seen my outfit cannot believe the price I got on this Simmons sight through overstock.com as well - I believe some of them have thought I was lying to them about the price! Thanks overstock.com for a great Siommons Shot Dot 1X30mm Red Dot sight at one fantastic price!! I is one HAPPY customer!

I received the scope and was toatally suprised how well made it was.I mounted it on my handgun the same day.I went to range and sigthed it in in just a few minutes.I would highly recomend this product

This is an excellent product. I have been a competitive shooter for all of my adult life. I have competed at the National level. Now that I am an "older fellow" my eyesight, which was never great, has deteriorated and good iron sight scores are pretty much out of the question. However, with a good Red Dot sight, I am back in the game. I am shooting about as well as I ever did. The Simmons is an excellent example of the Red Dot Sight. It is a TERRIFIC value. The only reason I down rated it a bit is that .44 Magnum is the heaviest recoiling gun it should be used for. It will not handle recoil from the .454 Casull and above (direct from the factory information).However, for 98% of what I do, it is VERY nice. I have several of them (along with other brands). I can fully recommend the 30 mm as being the best choice (it is easier to "find the hole" than a 1" Red Dot and is not "top heavy" like the 44 mm styles).
