very good product
I do believe that “…they don’t make them as they used to…”, and binoculars are a big part of that philosophy. I tried few and I was beyond disappointed – I was simply astonished how some manufacturers can actually get away with selling what they call binoculars. Then I decided to purchase this one – have hunting gear with optics from Simmons so I took a chance. It was good decision. Excellent quality, very good lenses and finish, priced right. If I were to give any pointers in buying quality binoculars – stick with fog proof and waterproof types like these or be ready to spend few hundred bucks for major brand of fancy type. Simmons binoculars feel solid, work well and are not that expensive compare to what you are getting. How many times in your life you plan on buying good binoculars?

good compact binoculars
Good glasses. Good outside construction, easy to hold and good rubber covering. Moisture proofing is welcome. The only problem I encountered was slow focus, especially at short distances. once focused they are sharp and clear. Takes a little fiddling to get there, though, and for quick action this is a drawback. For general sighting it is a good product, compact and good looking.

Good Size/Good Price
I spent several hours evaluating the many binoculars that were available through Overstock. The price range was greater than I thought. I read the reviews for the binoculars that were of interest. I wanted a decent pair, at a good weight, waterproof. After reading the latest review for this pair, I bought them for my husband as a Christmas gift. They are perfect. The body of the binoculars has a nice grip, the lids for the end are attached to the binoculars so they won't get lost. I'm really happy with this purchase. Overstock handled the delivery beautifully.

Simmons ProSport 10x42mm Binocular
Very hard to adjust inte-ocular distance, hard to focus. The plus of this binocular for our purposes, was the waterproofness of the interior space. It had been nitrogen filled, so in a wet environment, it would not accept more moisture. The ocular adjustments were harder than those of an equivalently priced alternative.
