I bought this so I could use a forward grip the my oem handguard of my S&W M&P 15OR.
3 of the holes were a little bit off, just enough so you could not start all the screws with the heat shield in place..
I popped out the lower heat shield very carefully, installed rail and all screws, I had 3 screw heads that were touching the bottom of the heat shield just enough so you could not pop it back down on the plastic pins in the handguard, I took a pair of small needle nose pliers, I slightly bent the heat shield material upward slightly were it was contacting the top of the screw heads, after tweaking the 3 holes the heat shield popped firmly back down.
Even without a forward grip, the polymer rail does not bother or dig into your hand while holding the handguard.
The CAA PR rail is studier then I expected it to be.
Its well worth the asking price. You just may have to tweak a couple holes, which only takes a couple minutes.
