I live in a small town that looses power freqently. Sometimes we'll not have electricity for full days/nights. this little light is so much better than the basic flashlight because it's bright and uses no batteries. I have even read a book by this light, just crank it up and get on with it. CAUTION: Leave the flashlight some place very handy so you remember to wind it up once a month or so. Failure to do so will damage the light beyond use. Keep one in the car, kitchen and bath.....be safe!

Works great & the kids love to wind it up for you - see who can turn the lever the fastest. Lasts for quite a while on the recommened 2-minute cranking time. I highly recommend this for your home, car, camper, camping etc. NO BATTERIES required. thats the best.
