The Brits like the stiff upper lip, but I prefer my golf shoes comfortable. The material in these uppers is scratchy and stiff, making walking long distances in them an invitation to irritation. They tie, but even loosening the kilt didn't help. The place they rub is the instep straps. The price was right and I was going to experiment anyway, thinking they might be cooler in hot weather than regular golf shoes. I think you'll need sunscreen on your feet if you don't want a painful burn, and after all is said and done, I'm going back to the spikeless comfortable shoes I already own. Bummer.
