SVP dr. Tech MSB-S1 Metallic Blue 4-string Electric Bass Guitar

The reviews I read on other sites basically said that this bass has good wood but poor hardware and electronics. The tone from this bass is good, even unplugged, and the feel of the neck was a pleasant surprise. That said, since this is a copy of an Ernie Ball Music Man bass, I'm probably going to put as much Music Man hardware on it as I can, and swap the pickup out. It's good the way it is, but I think it's worth upgrading. I want to put a Kent Armstrong Music Man pickup in mine since it's a hotter pickup. After the upgrades, you may be able to pick up a used OLP bass for about the same price as this one is new plus upgrades, but since Ernie Ball doesn't make the OLP anymore, and the "low end" Sterling by Music Man bass comes in around $600 or so, this might be a good alternative.
