Was sad to see that there were two coloration flaws in the playing board. I don't believe that it is a set worth $$. I do hope that my son enjoys it but I am dissapointed that it looks a little cheap. I would put it more in the $$ range. Makes me wish I had just gotten him the basic set at Wal-Mart. The thing in the picture and the description of this set that attracted me was that it is portable and he can take it back and forth from his dad's house to mine.

It's a wonderful gift for a Chess player. The pieces are beautifully crafted, the board is wonderful (so long as you keep the plastic on), and the carrying case is also elegant.

I have a Drueke chess set from the 1970's and wanted another one. This set includes a nice roll-up board, solid weighted pieces, and a handy carrying case capable of fitting two sets of everything. Good value for the money. My order was delivered promptly and in excellent condition.

I ordered this set on 2/18, shipped 2/19, received 2/20..excellent delivery time. I ordered this chess set for my husband as a gift and he was more than happy with the quality of this tournament set. My husband is a great chess player and people are always challenging him so I thought this would be great for traveL. Now a few of his opponents wants the same set, the weight of the pieces are outstanding not cheap at all. Thanks Overstock again for the great service and quality product.

This was the best price I could find on a tournament set. I am completely happy with the quality, the weight of the pieces, and the carry case. It is exactly like what is pictured as well.I wasn't sure if it would have 2 extra queens. It doesn't. Not a huge deal, but I would prefer to have them.
