These binoculars are great and a great value, but understand, they are HUGE!! I thought that the large knob in the picture was for adjustment of some type. Well, turns out it is for the pole you need to hold these binoculars up if you plan to use them for an extended period...(pole not included)

Thanks overstock! I ordered these for my husband and he's thrilled with them. We live on the water and he likes to watch the boats. We have some much lower-powered binoculars that we use on our boat -- the 20x80 optics will make you sick if you're on a rocking boat -- but with these, he can get a much clearer view from our deck. When he first opened the box, I thought the binoculars were so large that they'd be really heavy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they're decent to carry and have surprisingly good optics for the price and are very easy to focus. The only drawback I can see is that if you were using them in the field for birdwatching, they might be sort of bulky to carry. Would definitely recommend to friends!
