It's ok for a beginner that knows how to figure degrees from where you are standing and already know exactly what you are looking for. Not so good if you are a beginner and don't understand all of the degree information concerning where a planet is. The view is not that good at all, barely able to see Venus even with the 3X expantion tube. Unable to see Saturn and Jupiter at present. Excellent for view of the moon.

I purchased this for my brother. He wears glasses so having the scope with an added eye piece really helped him use the telescope more easliy. The quallity is good and the ease of use is the best part of it.He uses it often.

I love the starry night cd-rom that i came with. Got this for my 18 year old son whose interested in astronomy and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of it.
