I really know nothing about telescopes - but my husband wanted one for star gazing. The unit seems sturdy - requred a small amount assembling - but easy enough.

I bought this telescope as a gift for my Kids, it's easy to use and looks great, good magnification this is a great starter telescope. The CD-ROM that comes with it is also good.

I bought a Rokinon 910x60 telescope and have found it to be more fun and easy to use. I really enjoy the Starry Nights cd that came with it . The telescope was easy to assemble and for me (a real novice) easy and fun to use.

Bought this as a gift and my boyfriend loves it. It was alittle tricky to assemble but is very sterdy. He uses it nightly now. Great product for a great price!

It is good to start with. A little complicate to put together, but once you get over that you enjoy it. Patience!

We put the telescope together and the only thing issue was the view was upside down, my husband corrected it and you can see pretty far considering the price on the item...

Great beginner telescope, easy to use. Should have had instructions on aligning the sighting scope but it was fairly straightforward. The included software was an extra benefit.

I ordered this telescope 3 days before Christmas, it arrived on 12/24 IMPRESSIVE. It's a great beginner telescope (though it's been a bit cold to use it) the only thing is, that once you put the triangular piece in the tripod, you can't close it up to move it easily. It could be it's not put together correctly, other than that, it's great!

Got this for my son. Put it together and went outside for the show. We could not see anything with this telescope. The moon was even fuzzy. During the day we can spot animals so its not a total waste. It looks good. Well put together but not what I was expecting.

Finder scope not aligned with telescope. For this price, did not have a huge expectation. Have not had much time to play with the telescope. Wish it was a little more sturdy. Good buy for price.

What a bargain for an amateur Astronomer! The scope is lightweight, versatile, and comes with its own tripod and some extras. We also bought the book 'Turn Left at Orion' to use as an instructional manual.

The recent purchase was a great looking scope. I was a little disappointed in its power, but for a beginner it was great. It looks like it spot Uranus, but mars was in the way. Good purchase

I bought this telescope for my 7 year old nephews birthday. He loves it. He and his dad set it up every evening and check out the stars before bedtime. He found it very easy to set up, with a little adult guidance. It is strudy and durable, for appropriate use.

We use the enclosed CD of the planets and stars, and find it a great tool for learning. The scope was a great find.

Bought this for my granddaughter, who at 8 wants to study astronomy. She loves it , finds it easy to use.
