I have never before purchased anything from overstock.com. I did find this tripod and needed one for my new digital camera. I purchased it for under $****. The customer service is great, the product quality is even better than great. and the fact that the whole order shipped for under 3 bucks. I am totally sold on The Big O.
Exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight and compact, easy quick adjustments, smooth operation.
I would have rated this higher if a manual had come with it. Thankfully my husband showed me the ins and outs of it. I intend to use it indoors, photographing my art. That said, it has and will continue to serve me well.
This tripod works as good as expected. good for the price!
This tripod is not sturdy enough for a larger camera. The legs work well, but the platform that the camera screws on to is too small and weak.
I gave this tripod to my 18-yr-old for Christmas, and by Christmas night one of the legs had snapped loose and has to constantly be snapped back on.
This tripod is sort of plastic and flimsy-looking, and I hope it doesn't disintegrate in the near future, but from what I can tell it's fairly durable. One thing to consider: it's so lightweight that it'll be victim to the slightest jostle or breeze. Of course, that also means it can be ported around with fewer laments (it comes with a carry bag). It works well (bear in mind that mine is quite new), is stable, and more importantly cost me around $30. Certainly, certainly adequate for a non-professional photographer or director. I'd recommend this for any casual camera operator. Or, even one with an artistic bent. I don't have any previous experience with tripods, but I do know that mine gets the job done. Includes a nifty feature: the mount detaches from the tripod as a very small piece, which makes it easy to screw into your camera base. Then, you literally just pop your camera in and out of the tripod. Maybe this is standard -- again, I just don't know. One problem: there aren't any instructions that come with it, and it takes a bit of thinking to figure everything out (if you have no experience and are a little bit mechanically dull, as I am). I was surprised to see that the legs have no lateral support -- nothing keeps them splayed out as far as they go besides the weight of the camera. Maybe this is standard fare, but it seemed odd to me. I think I might go so far as to say "this is an indoor, fairly light-duty tripod". If those are your requirements, I'd definitely recommend it. The price is hard to argue with.
This tripod appears to be of good quality. It's very lightweight, with thin "legs". It was easy to set up and use. I'm used to a heavier tripod, and hope that this one will be as durable. Over-all, I'm pleased.
This is just the best tripod ever! This is something that I'm going to use over and over again. When I got it, I thought that it wasn't going to work with my cameras, but I was sure wrong! It has a universal connector that can hook up to any camera/binoculars etc. I would definetly recommend this to a friend. This was just excellent and hope any body else who buys this product will say the same!
This tripod is much lighter than I thought it would be, but is functioning quite nicely. I'm sure if titanium is strong enough for airplanes, it should be durable for a tripod!
This is a fairly "cheap" Tripod. It does the trick for holding your camera steady but it is about as far as you can get awa from a PRO tripod. It is light and easy to set up. BUt this does fall into the catagoary of you get wht you pay for. I use it indoors to hold my digital camera for taking still shots. Not sure I woudl want to use it for anything else. However, it is very inexpensive and will do the trick if that is what you want.
My product arrived very quickly and was exactly what I was wanting. The price was right and I am very pleased! I would recommend this product to others and had a good experience with Overstock.com
It is great. The tripod is light and easy. It can go anywhere. It comes with a travel bag with a sling shoulder strap for ease in carring.
