If you are used to gym mats, these will seriously disappoint you. There is barely any padding. The product feel is cheap and appears that they will be unsanitary due to ability to absorb sweat. I will use them over the foam flooring squares versus concrete so they might serve the purpose, otherwise don't waste your money.Read More
It was what I expected. I just don't use it enough!!Read More
This exercise mat is fine for the price. It is padded enough to do floor exercises. It is MUCH better than those hard, thin yoga mats !! I didn't want to spend the extra money on a memory foam or thicker mat. I am happy with this mat.Read More
I never saw this as it was sent directly as a gift. The person liked it.Read More
I thought this mat was going to be like the old gym mats I used when I was a kid. Boy was I wrong. It's cheap styrofoam!Read More
The mat was like the ones you find at the gym. Has a lot more padding than a yoga mat. Just what I was hoping for! Since I have only had it for less than two weeks, I can't really comment on durability, but it looks like its durable.Read More
Execellent idea to have the workout drills on the mat, it helps to stay focus and consistant on each drill.Read More

How to Choose Yoga Equipment
Yoga is a healthy activity that can be done with very little to no equipment. However, yoga and Pilates equipment, beyond a yoga mat, can help improve your yoga experience and offer greater benefits. Some yoga equipment is designed to accelerate the improvement of beginning yoga practitioners, whereas yoga clothing can benefit everyone.
Yoga Mat Benefits
The benefits of yoga and Pilates are numerous: improved strength, balance, coordination, stress relief and peace of mind. While yoga doesn't require much equipment, a yoga mat is important for safety and improved performance.
Yoga vs Pilates
Many people struggle to understand the differences between yoga and Pilates. That could simply be because the differences between the two practices are very subtle. Both yoga and Pilates offer similar physical benefits but take slightly different approaches to reach those improvements.
How to Buy Pilates Equipment
Joseph Pilates is the father of Pilates, a popular system of exercise. He created this system based on movements that would produce a balanced development of the body. Pilates exercises can be modified to suit the abilities of the participant, which makes it safe for most people. The exercises are performed on a floor mat and on Pilates equipment. Pilates equipment provides resistance from the participant's own body weight and exercise muscles efficiently. They are important additions to any Pilates studio.
How to Choose a Yoga Mat
Most yoga classes offered today ask that you bring along your own yoga mat. Besides loose, comfortable clothing, yoga mats are really the only accessories you need to do yoga at a studio or at home. But with the wide array of mats now available, choosing one can be a bit of a conundrum, especially if you're new to yoga. Luckily, there are a number of factors that you can keep in mind to help with this selection.
Top 5 Benefits of Pilates
Over 40 years after the death of Joseph Pilates, his namesake fitness creation, Pilates, has never been more popular. Pilates teaches mental control over the body, which results in a full-body workout. Instead of just a bundle of exercises designed to bulk up the muscles, Pilates aims to reclaim control over the muscles and increase general health. Those who practice Pilates exercise are well versed in its physical and mental benefits. Whether you are considering starting with some Pilates DVDs or signing up for a Pilates studio, your body will thank you; however, if you aren't quite convinced, here are just some of the benefits Pilates can bring into your life.
Yoga Equipment Buying Guide
Within the last several years, yoga has become one of the most popular exercise routines in the world. Although there are many pieces of fitness equipment you can buy for yoga, you only need a few to get started since your yoga workout relies almost completely on your own body.
Tips on Resistance Bands
Resistance bands are an inexpensive and highly effective way to add another dimension to your core training and strength workouts. Unlike training with other fitness equipment, resistance bands use your own body strength and weight against itself to increase strength and flexibility. They are also highly versatile and can be incorporated into yoga, Pilates, weight training and a variety of other fitness workouts.
How to Pick a Mat to Use Under an Office Chair
Carpeted floors usually provide too much resistance for office chairs with rollers to work well. In addition, rolling a chair over carpet will wear down the carpet fibers over time. Mats designed for these areas are a practical solution to both issues. Mats can also protect harder, uncarpeted floors -- such as vinyl or wood, from wear caused by chair rollers. There are several styles and colors of these mats. When choosing a mat to use under your rolling office chair, it's not always best to choose the first one you see -- some are more suitable for low-pile carpets or wood floors, and some are perfect for use on heavy, thick carpeting.
