I just got my driver in the mail and went to the driving range and was very pleasantly surprised how well this club hit and felt. I could move the ball left to right or right to left rather easily. It was very forgiving also. Several hits I thought would have a hard fade but the ball moved less than a 1/3 of what I would expect. A nice full swing with control and I had my ball (range ball) going 230 on the fly. Ocassionally it went 250 with effort but was unpredictable. It's very early in the season and I'm hitting it this far now. In a couple of months, I should have this dialed in at 260+ on the fly. My current driver is a Titleist 975D 9.5 degree with a stiff graphite shaft. I will be using the Rawlings from now on.
I play golf for pleasure (can you believe?) This American hybrid is not going to find its way into Tiger's bag but for me it does the job. Where before my drives might go varying distances and directions now I make the green in two or three strokes and accuracy is much better. You won't see me on the tour but that doesn't mean it's the club's fault!
- How accurate was the sizing? Right on
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. As good as you might expect for a duffer.
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Fine quality and workmanship.
When I first tried the club it sounded dead. But the more I hit it the more confidence I had. It goes well even if not hit on the sweet spot, Im very satisfied!
For the price and the speedy delivery, one cannot complain really! Good for a beginner golfer like me - easy to handle, firm in the hands.
Great club to buy. It's a uni-flex shaft so if your used to a stiff shaft you probably shouldn't buy it.
enhances my distance during my game great value and price
Ordered a 9.5 degree stiff was delivered a mid flex. I find that it gives me about 10 - 15 more yards off the tee than the 10.5 degree driver I was using. I still have good control and mishits don't seem to hurt you as much as with the old driver.
Buy something else!!! I used this club for 1 round of golf, which means I used it for 14 holes (not on the 6 par 3's) and a medium bucket of balls on the driving range. On the last hole, I hit a bad shot (which may or may not have been my fault) and when I grabbed the face of the club to put back in my bag, I noticed it had a HUGE dent on the face. This thing didn't last a SINGLE round! I normally drive 320-340 yards, so if you are a long ball hitter, buy something else.
