This is a DOT-rated helmet, which, if you've read up on the Hurt Study, serves better than a Snell-rated helmet, in 400+ accidents in the real world. (Snell helmets transfer 100+ more G's of impact force to your head, in a blunt surface impact accident, than DOT helmets do, all because the Snell shell is harder, to save you from an impact with a plough blade, edge-on, which never occurred in any of the 400+ accidents studied by Dr. Hurt... All 400+ impacts were with blunt surfaces such as curbs, road surfaces, and other blunt surfaces.) The sizing is good, the internal shape is similar to their standard, inexpensive, full-face helmets available all over, for very similar pricing. The only issue I have is with the vent louvers: they are either all-the-way open, or completely closed, they won't stay in the middle positions. My wife told me she couldn't feel any air flowing inside, while riding, but I saw her bangs moving in the air flow, with the visor down, so there is air movement, whether you can feel it, or not. I highly recommend this helmet to all cyclists who wear eyeglasses. Cheers!
