The Quantum big Screen Microscope was a great birthday gift for my 7 yr. old grandson who lives 3 states away. I didn't know what to send him, but was sure any kid would like to look up close at bugs, food, and nature. I was delighted to learn that Matthew was so intrigued that he brought it to the dinner table and inspected his dinner. What fun. My gift was a hit.

I sent it back because it was not nearly what I considered bright enough or in enough detail to encourage its use. I ordered a standard telescope. This is for a nine year old and want to encourage use of the item.
