    I have not used my new monitor for exercise yet, but why in the world would they have the primary display on a HEART RATE monitor be the TIME? I plant to use this HEART RATE monitor to do time trials on a bicycle and I expect the heart rate to be very hard to read while cycling.

  • Great deal for a heart rate monitor/calorie calc

    Hard to beat this heart monitor/calories burned calculator watch w/chest strap. It's relatively easy to use, and gives you a good indicator of how many calories you burn during a workout. Useful for anyone who has to be careful not to exceed their maximum heart rate. Have only had it for 2-3 weeks, but so far, I really like it. My personal trainer told me not to trust the type that are just a watch without the chest strap, as they are not very accurate. I looked around before buying this and got the best deal on Overstock by using my Club O points toward the purchase.

    This heart rate monitor for the most part when working works well, but does not on 95% of the time. This one only really works with pure sweat and I think the salt contact from the body...Only starts working properly when 50%-75% of the work out/walk/run is complete! Very rarely works from the beginning which is very dissapointing and I need to monitor the heart from beginning to the end.
