Just an opinion
This bench is for beginners at best. I bought it mainly because, in the description, it stated 400 pound rating. This rating of 400 pounds must obviously count the weight of the person using it as well. I put only 135 pounds on it and it shook like it could fold in half in a matter of minutes. I truly was afraid to rack the weight in fear that it wouldn't hold it. If this were for a young beginner I'm sure it'll be fine,...but it won't take much to out grow this bench. The construction is flimsy at best,...and in putting it together, one of the threaded bolt holes for the leg brace was stripped out and wouldn't tighten. If you a person serious about weight training,....pass on this one.

Was a bit worried about the sturdiness of this but it seems to be fine, according to the ones using it.

Good Deal / Preacher Curl Pain
We recieved the Pure Fitness Multi-purpose Bench within days of ordering it. After doing a lot of research and web surfing I decided this bench was the best deal. My son and I took our time and put it together in a couple of hours. Pretty easy; although there were times we found ourself saying "why didn't they just put this piece together before shipping?" It's sturdy and a good piece of equipement. Great price. The bench itself is a bit narrow to lay back on but the only real negative is the way the preacher curl adjustment works. It's locked in place with a bolt that has a big plastic handle....its very hard to find the hole and line it up. The operation of it should be so simple but it's rather tedious and hard to get at. It can be frustrating. All in all a good bargain though.
