chemical smell this is a fine mat. it is NOT any thicker than a normal mat (in fact it is very slightly thinner). the "sticky" is very good. i bought two and i use them as mats in my kitchen in front of sink & stove (i cut the corners into rounded edges) great cheap rug solution and great for standing. BUT! i had to air them outside for 3 days before i could use them. very strong chemical offgassing -- don't take it to yoga class at first!!
