As we heard in the review - comfortable, pump is loud but fills up in a few minutes, air lasts a couple days before a need to topping off. It did the trick for overflow of family staying at our house.Read More
This is a great mattress. I bought this for a vacation home for over night quests. The mattress didn't deflat by morning as some do. It was very easy to inflat and deflat. Slightly noisy but worth it. Great quaility.Read More
We use the air bed for camping. Thankful we had a campsite that had electric hook up because we ended up having to place air in it nightly.Read More
Very comfy bed. Easy to inflate. Durable.I'm 5'10" and the bed is plenty long enough - whereas I've had to sleep at an angle on other brand beds. A friend of ours bought the bed as well & her 6' teenage son sleeps on it every night as he prefers the airbed to a regular mattress! And the bed is durable.Read More
It is a good Air Bed. I like the 22' height. With pump blows up fast and easy to take down. Confortable to sleep on. Had it up for 3 days. Did not have to add air. It is a great buy for the money. I would recommend itRead More
We ordered two of these. My husband is 6'5" and 260 pounds....so I like the fact that they are xtra long and they are super comfortable. No leaking, easy to inflate (a few minutes) and love the fact that the pump will also deflate them quickly so you can just roll them up and slip them in the provided cover. Don't hesitate to purchase - these are great!Read More
I used the bed for the first time this weekend for visiting relatives. It seemed to hold air pretty well, just needed to top it off a little each night. They said it was very comfortable (I did throw a thick matress pad on top though, and I'm sure that helped). My only complaints are that the carry bag is a bit small so the air pump doesn't fit inside with the mattress, and the pump is really loud! I resorted to sticking in some earplugs about halway through the inflation process.Read More
Easy to set-up and inflate; very reasonable price; most of all, very comfortable to sleep on. It was purchased for the occasional overnight guest we have at the house; both my husband and I slept on it while my elderly parents used our bedroom during their visit. Although the mattress does have soft covering on it, I preferred to put a comforter on the top for extra soft comfort between me and the mattress. A nice surprise was a raised edge around the perimeter of the mattress-- to assist with potential "roll offs" I suppose. I so love that it is a high mattress. We did add air every 2nd day or so but that was not a big deal; I imagined that there would be some level of air escaping from somewhere with two people sleeping on it for several hours. The cute little storage bag that comes with it, however, hardly fits the deflated mattress after the fact. I just put the deflated mattress back in the original box for storage. I would absolutely buy another...Read More
we used in on a 3 day camping weekend had to add air everyday about the same as other air beds i have used...i dont like the sealing system on the hole where you add the air its just a simple push in thing and is hard to push in an pull out...others ive had have had a scew type hole which seems to me to be more secureRead More

I need a mattress for camping so will need one that will work with a pump that does not plug in. It appears the pump included does need a plug but can the mattress be inflated by another portable pump? Will it be compatible?

What inexpensive air bed should I buy for my grandchildren come to visit? Is shipping included?

Does the pump also run on batteries for camping trips where electricity isn't available?
No, it does not. We do have other mattress that do have a battery operated pump. See item # 13922962.
