The bag needed to be reinforced with duct tape on its 3rd day. A piece of cotton will help secure the rather loose connections of the stick and the mallet (head). I suggest shellacking the wooden pieces before playing the first time to prolong the paint job. This is a good set for the family in the back yard for a season or two. We've used it 5 times so far and it shows signs of wear. A little over priced but aren't most things these days.
I received my first croquet set from a beloved Aunt about 50 years ago. Since we have a lawn suitable to play croquet, I decided to purchase a croquet set.. Not much is made like "the good old days" anymore but this is still a nice set. The beautiful colors are still there. The balls are now a hard plastic of sorts instead of wooden and the wickets aren't as sturdy but overall, I'm totally glad I purchased the set.
Decent set, made of wood. Balls are a hard plastic. The carrying case is more of a storage case than anything. Not at all convenient to as you have to dismantle the mallets to put them back in the case, but at least there is a case for storage purposes, would have preferred the hanging rack sets use to come on. Instructions in the case were a plus although they have some errors.
Game is great. Bag is not. To close the bag with all the equipment in it, you'll need to disassemble the mallets. But this might weaken the mallets! But, kids love the game!!
The quick turn around for this order was exceptional. I ordered this game to have for a family picnic, not even thinking that it would be there in time, but to my surprise it arrived 2 days early. My family enjoyed this game so much that they now have a tournament set up for the July 4th week-end. I have told all my friends and family about overstock and how great the customer service is... I give you 10 Stars!!!!!
