apparently customer service doesn't know what stride length is?
I have a very short inseam so the stride is a little long for me, puts pressure on my knees. If I move my feet forward over the lip of the foot board it works much better for me. A good machine in all respects for the money....

The machine is functional, which is, I suppose, all you can really ask for. None of the electronic components work though because the wrong or broken parts were sent. The tension knob doesn't really work for more than five minutes, so I'm constantly stopping my workout to readjust the tension of the machine. But, it's functional enough for me to work up a sweat.Read More
Love the machine!!! Does what I bought it for and would recommend it to anyoneRead More
I would highly recommend that no one buy this product. I was so excited to have bought am elliptical, but I cant even tell you how disappointed I am! The most important part broke two times, I am 5'9'' and weigh 125 lbs and broke it twice within 2 months?! The metal and the welding is not done to any level of quality, I think I used this 10-15 times in total for an average duration on 40min. Please dont waste your time on even think about buying this product unless you want to fall on your face (not even joking).Read More

I was in the market for a new piece of excercise equipment after my treadmill finally went out. Seeing that live currently in a upstairs apartment, a treadmill did'nt seem practical. I checked with all the big retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, Academy and Dick's. They were all priced about the same. So I Google searched and found it sold here for about $60 cheaper and with the money left over I purchased the 2 year warranty to go with it. I am happy with the machine so far, only been using it for a couple of days. It feels really stable when using it and I am big guy at 6'2 195. I was a little concerned at first that my knees might hit the arm bars, but hasnt happened. Overall I would recommend this elliptical to anyone on a budget looking for a quility piece.Read More
Bought the elliptical in December. Have used it about three times a week since then. One bolt came loose while in use in one time and I was able to just put it back and haven't had trouble with it since. It gets creaky, but WD40 helps a lot and after 5-10 minutes into working out the creaks mostly go away. After heavy use in the past week, I noticed the left arm suddenly lowered and it was hitting against the base of the machine. Turns out the welding on the bottom of the leg started separating. Called the customer service department and within 10 minutes it was all taken care of because I bought the 2 year protection plan, which is totally worth it. If anything goes wrong they reimburse your Overstock account and you can buy the exact same machine or a different one. It is going to take about 3 weeks until I get a new machine but at least I will actually get a new machine. Overall it's been good to me and gives me a good workout.Read More
Very poor quality. Broke within 2 months (of light use). A pre-assembled part broke making it pretty much impossible to use. Currently having to contact manufacturer to see if we can get a refund.Read More

Treadmills vs Elliptical Trainers
New variations of tried-and-true exercise machines are always being introduced to the market as the technology of exercise equipment improves. Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines
