ProForm SpaceSaver 600 Elliptical Trainer

I bought this elliptical to replace a cheap $150 one that I'd been using for the past two years. Overall I've been disappointed. It was easy to assemble but took about two hours. Then when I started using it I noticed an annoying clicking noise coming from the wheel (the only part that came pre-assembled). I contacted customer service and they were quick to reply and promised to send someone out to fix it. Unfortunately they contract to outside companies, and it took this company over a month to set up an appointment to fix it. When the guy came out to look at it (a month later) he determined that part of the wheel would need to be replaced, and that it would take another 2-4 weeks for it to get here. So now nearly two months after I purchased it it's finally "fixed"--the initial clicking noise is gone, but because this is a cheap, plastic machine, taking it apart to fix it caused some damage and now it squeaks and creaks with every movement. I wish I hadn't even bothered to have the clicking noise fixed, it was much less annoying than the sound it's making now. The batteries only lasted through a week of workouts, now I need to buy more or buy the power adapter. The mp3 output is cool but you need to purchase an adapter to use that too. The fan feature is nice but it makes the battery run out even faster. Size wise it does fold up nicely and easily to save space, but that's really the only selling point here. And to be honest if you're looking to save space you should buy a cheaper, smaller one--even folded this takes up more room than my previous elliptical.

awesome product at a reasonable price, assembly instructions easy to follow, had a small issue with getting it delivered due to the fact that a tractor trailor cannot easily navigate my subdivision, but the next day someone brought it in a pickup and brought it right into the house.

I am very disappointed with my purchase. When I purchased this item, I expected a mid grade elliptical. I figured it would be better than the cheap $199.00 ones out there, but I would have faired better by purchasing a cheap one and saving myself $300.00. The machine shakes, squeaks and make all kinds of noises. My husband has tightened and retightened every nut and bolt, but still nothing helps, it seems like the pieces just don't fit properly together. To make matters worse, it doesn't have a power adaptor and requires 4 double D batteries to power it. Well, that would be okay, if the batteries lasted longer than one work out. After burning through 8 batteries in no time, I decided to purchase the power adaptor for an additional $20.00. I am trying to make the best of my purchase, and wish I had the desire to take it apart and return it, but since it took two hours to put together, it really doesn't seem worth it to go through all the hassel.

Purchased my elliptical about 2 months ago. Fairly easy to assemble, but because I didn't have anyone to assist it took about 3 hours. When I had a problem adjusting the pedal stride I contacted their customer service number. The service is impeccable! They sent their rep to the house, he ordered a new part, which came immediately, and will return to install the new part. I was not charged for the service call or new part. In the meantime he adjusted the pedal stride so i could continue to work out on the elliptical. I would recommend this machine to anyone who is within the proper weight range recommended by the manufacturer. It provides a very nice variety of workouts.
