Trainer Mat is three times the value!
The mat is standard length and thickness--and along with the little cartoon people doing the poses, it also came with a CD showing a yoga professional demonstrating each move and describing where your hips, legs, arms, knees, etc should be. They even have a website that you can log into, and see the demonstrations while traveling, or to download to your ipod! Better yet, you can access the other demonstration videos (pilates, stretching, golf stretches...) with the same code. Mega multiplier of value for me, and the mat isn't even that expensive to begin with! And when I'm in class, and don't feel like looking at the people, I just flip it over and have a blank green mat to do my workout on. I had to wash it in my washing machine to get rid of the factory release agent on the surface (kinda slippery) and it did smell plasticy before that, but now it's great!! Would totally recommend to anyone.

Great pose reminders
The TRAINERmat for yoga is nice for someone who already is familiar with yoga. The illustrations are nice reminders of the basic poses. The accompanying DVD does not provide adequate instruction for a beginner, but might be more helpful to someone who has the basics down. I really like the mat. It does have an new-item plastic/rubber odor, but I am sure that will go away after some time.
- How accurate was the sizing? I am 6 ft tall, and this mat is long enough.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The mat seems to be good quality. Although it has that rubber smell...I am hoping that will dissipate as time passes.

the envy of others in my yoga practice. Love the pictures that give names and positions for some moves I know and others I look forward to learning. Very helpful DVD that also comes with the mat.

Good Product
I am enjoying this product. I am new to yoga, so it has been nice to have visual queues on the mat for pefrecting poses. My only negative would be that the mat is a little on the thin side. I purchased a mat a month or so ago and it was cheaper and thicker. I decided to buy this one to have the visuals of the poses. In a room with carpet, there is no issue. If you are generally on a hard surface, you may want to opt for a thicker mat. But I really like it :)

Great Mat, I'll be giving as gifts!
I really like this mat. Its very nice & thick. I love the illustrations. I will be buying more of these for gifts. I wish the surface was a little less slippery because of all the sweating during yoga the mat sometimes gets slippery.

Good guide
I don't use this as a regular exercise mat. I've been using a standard mat for Pilates for a long time. I have added Yoga but find it hard to add a TV screen (dvd) to my exercises now. Also, the exercises are Pilates and Yoga combined, so running the tv for 'just the right length' is difficult. So I unroll this Yoga mat next to my Pilates mat and have the diagrams at hand when I need them. I now exercise about 45 minutes, using the Pilates (I know by heart) and adding Yoga positions as needed. Works great for me.

Wonderful mat!
This is an extra thick mat like the commercial classroom ones. Extra comfy and non-slip. I bought one for my daughter, a beginner to learn a wider range of poses and to see the correct forms. Then I got one for me too. I may not need the illustrations, but it is nice to follow the flow of the pictured poses when practicing alone at home. Occasionally I need to mix it up a little. I think you will be very happy with this purchase whether you are new to yoga or not so new. Nameste
