I have two road bikes I keep outside at the shore when I am in town. These fit rather well (a bit short) but cover 99.999% of the bike. The handle bars fit perfect and the material is tough and thick. Totally water proof and now have held up two years in direct sun, rain, and salt air. Some fading but I don't care about that.Read More
I purchased this cover for my bike that sits outside on my balcony. I also purchased a competitor's to see which one I preferred. This one won because it protects the bike from everything: sun, rain, wind and all the way to the floor. It's easy to install and ties securely. It weighs a bit more than the other one, but it is clearly a superior product.Read More
Fits snugly on my big handle bar beach cruiser and because of the tight fit is difficult to get on and off but does keep the bike safe from the weather since it has to be stored on a covered patio. Quality is excellent just wish it was a little biggerRead More
Excellent construction on this heavy duty bike cover. Sizing will fit most bikes, unless you have an unusual bike!! I use it all the time. Great buy!Read More
I had hoped to keep the bike out of the shed, but have cleaned out a space for it. The bike cover is no match for the Florida sun.Read More
I definitely agree with the rest of the reviews that this cover is by far one of the better made covers I have seen. Usually bike covers are a cheap, thin plastic that rip in the wind. But this one is like a thick, heavy patio or outdoor furniture cover that has stayed put on my bike. I have to keep my bike outdoors all year and this has worked for me so far. I don't know if it says it, but it has a vertical zipper at one end to help get on bike and then it has 6 grommets at the bottom (2 in front, 2 in middle, 2 in back) to tie string (given) together and hold down on bike. I put the string through the front and back wheel spokes and the other fits under the middle of the bike. It hasn't moved off the bike since I tied it down. Definitely worth the money!Read More

If you own a bicycle, at some point you will probably have to change the tires. Worn down or cracked bicycle tires can be very dangerous because the tube inside is exposed and may suddenly blow out if you ride over a sharp object. Another reason to change your bicycle tires is if you plan to ride on different types of terrain. How to Use Cycling Shoes
Cycling shoes are designed to improve a cyclist's performance. The sole of a cycling shoe has limited flexibility, which helps a cyclist concentrate all his or her power on pedaling. Cycling shoes also have special cleats that clip into clipless pedals (a very misleading name) to prevent the shoes from slipping off and allow you to pull up on your pedals, increasing your cycling performance. Once clipped in, the bike shoes will remain attached until the cyclist is ready to disengage. Cycling shoes are specially designed for various styles of cycling, including road racing, spinning, touring, off-road biking and mountain biking. Road-cycling shoes usually have slick plastic soles that aren't designed to provide traction. Mountain-bike shoes, on the other hand, look more like regular hiking shoes and are more suited to walking.
How to Choose Winter Cycling Apparel
When choosing winter cycling apparel, keep in mind how cold the weather you'll be cycling in is. Choose apparel that is appropriate to the weather and that fits you well. Too many air pockets can make you cold, as can clothing that is too tight. Winter cycling can be a fun sport with the right clothing. Biking in winter can be comfortable with the right apparel.
How to Buy Cycling Shoes
As with most sports, cycling has an array of gear made specifically for it. Cycling shoes, for example, are designed to help a cyclist perform better. While regular tennis shoes or sneakers slip on the pedals of a bike, cycling shoes grip the pedals. The stiffness of the soles of these shoes combined with the ability to fasten to the pedals of the bike allow for optimum efficiency when cycling. If you are participating in cycling, it is necessary to buy biking shoes to get the most out of bike rides without wasting energy.
Bicycle Helmet Safety Fact Sheet
Bicycle helmet safety is the key to minimizing head injuries while cycling, either for recreation or commuting. Some states do not have bicycle helmet laws, although about 150 municipalities nationwide have bike helmet ordinances on the books. Tips on Choosing BMX Bikes
Ever since they appeared in California in the 1960s, BMX bikes have been a standard mode of transportation for kids. That's partly because BMX bicycles are the right size and partly because they're durable, but it's also due in large part to the fact that BMX bikes are simply cool. They're made for riding around in the dirt and jumping off ramps, and it doesn't get a whole lot cooler than that for a ten year old (if not their parents). If you're a parent and you're not sold on just how awesome BMX bikes are for young kids, you can still appreciate the fact that they make great beginner bikes. They're built to withstand a lot of abuse, and the design is simple enough that repairs and adjustments are infrequent and easy. Keep reading for more information on why a BMX bike may be the right bike for your child and tips on choosing the right bike.
How to Choose a Motorcycle Cover
A motorcycle cover is a smart way to keep your motorcycle in good condition. Like any vehicle, a motorcycle is vulnerable to the outside elements. Hail, wind, rain, and snow can all damage a motorcycle's finish and make it look worn beyond its years. Protective motorcycle gear will save you money in the long run, helping keep your bike in showroom condition. A motorcycle cover is a small investment that can help cut down on repairs for your motorcycle. Even motorcycles that are parked in a garage aren't impervious to falling debris or dings from car doors. A motorcycle cover is a must, particularly if your bike sports special extras, such as leather saddlebags or a custom paint job.
FAQs about BMX Bikes
BMX is short for bicycle motocross and refers to a sport that involves extreme racing on bicycles in motocross style, usually over dirt tracks. BMX bike racing started in southern California in the 1970s when kids started racing their standard bicycles over dirt tracks. This eventually evolved into the extreme sport that we see today. Now, "BMX bike" is a fairly generic term that can relate to any number of styles of bicycle, including all-terrain bikes and mountain bikes. The type of BMX bike you buy will depend on what you want to do with it and where you want to use it.
