i have used other roman chairs in health clubs and i love the benefits that you get from this exercise chair for my hams and glutes. i had to have one in my home exercise room--the chair is sturdy and well made. just make sure that you put the top half of the chair on the base correctly--my husband put the top chair portion on the base backwards and it made you tip over during the exercise. no problems at all once we figured out our mistake.
I would only recommend this to a male with long legs and a rock hard stomach. The pad is not soft and it is painful for me to lie on it. My legs are short so I need a stool to get on it if I add a softer pad on top which I will do. I haven't been able to use it yet because of the very hard pad. It is also not well made. The metal pieces don't fit well together and it is noisy because of that. I wish I'd chosen a more expensive one, or checked out the brand first.
