This is a cute playhouse. I didn't want to go the plastic Little Tikes route, and this seemed like the most economical wood option. The quality of the materials is decent. Assembly takes a while and some of the pilot holes aren't perfectly located, but its not too bad. My biggest complaint is that its a little smaller than it looks in the pictures. The footprint is not square like it looks in the pictures. The wall with the window in the above photo is actually a good bit narrower than the wall with the front door. Its big enough for 2 or 3 kids to play, but you won't be fitting a table or a kitchen set very easily.

Bought it for my grandson's first birthday. I have another tunnel at my house for him and was buying it for him to have at his house. In comparing the 2 (the other one bought at *** for about $10 more) this one is a little smaller but that is perfect for their smaller living room. Also the bottom is flat so it doesn't move around on him as much which makes first time parents feel better. It is cute and I am very happy with it.

We received this very quickly. The kids are loving it and so far it seems like it's going to hold up to their rough-housing. This is a huge tent so make sure you have room for it! My 4-year-old, my 2-year-old, and myself (although I'm only 5'1") fit in it very comfortably. It does come with a little storage bag if you want to fold it up and store it. The tent we received is not exactly as pictured. The picture has two orange "flaps" at each end of the car that two curved poles are supposed to fit in. The instructions even say there are supposed to be two big, long, straight poles, two curved ones and then two of some kind I have no clue (I didn't receive anything like this). I received two long ones and four stakes so I was confused and upset when I opened it up and thought there were missing pieces and I'd have to go through the hassle or returning/exchanging. Not to mention the disappointment from my kids. I decided to try and put the tent together with what I had to see what was what and surprisingly, it looks like everything is there and is working how it's supposed to. I do wish I had the two curved poles for extra support but it seems like there are some built in at that spot anyway. The directions stink as usual but as someone who has never put a tent together before, I was able to figure it out pretty easily. There are a few hooks that are unoccupied but hopefully everything will hold together! LOL

I searched everywhere for a good play tent for my 2 year old, and I'm really happy I chose this one. In our small apartment, we needed something that could be put away so our house doesn't look like Romper Room all the time. This is alot of fun, good quality and really easy to set up/break down. Watch the YouTube video to see how to break it down - it's really simple but you need to see it once to get the hang of it. Great value and big fun.

I love this item. I was a little nervous at first, because it came in a really small package, but it is defiantly not small. I am 510 and it is still about 2 inches taller then me. I think it is about 4x4 inside, so plenty of room for me and 2 year old to play inside together. Luckily my daughter has her own play room, because it takes up half of it. It was very easy to assemble, only took about 10 minutes. By far the best toy I have every purchased for this amount of money. I wish I was a kid again. This would have defiantly given me hours of make-believe play.

Gave this to my 2 year old nephew for Christmas - he loved it

A bit different from what is pictured - the roof and awing are a solid color, no "rug" under the table/chairs, the one I received says "ESPRESSO CAFE" on the awning, the door doesn't swing open - it hangs and has velcro tabs along the sides but can be rolled up, and the graphics on either side of and under the window are missing. The mesh window for ventilation is on the side wall, not the back wall. It is big enough to fit a few kids in, or even a play kitchen. It took about 10 minutes to easily put together - better to do with 2 people. Overall, a satisfied parent and very happy daughter.

I bought this for my nephew who just had his 1st birthday. He loved it as well as his 2 brothers who are turning 3 in a week.

I bought this tent for my two sons (2 & 5). The love it, there is plenty of room inside for both of them. I must say I am a bit disappointed that I noticed that it tore along a seam on the bottom (we only have it about two weeks). I also think that it should have one more support pole along the bottom , it seems like the lower portion needs to be straightened out quite often.

Awesome! The children, ages 6-11, (and their friends) think this is very cool. Great size! Play kitchen or child size table and 2 chairs fit inside! Supper cute for restaurant play. Tall enough for adult to stand inside. I purchased a restaurant kit from TrUs that included a menu, order pad, serving tray among other items. It's lage but fits into a small bag for easy storage should you decide to not have it up on a regular basis.

The size of this spacious tent was what first caught my attention. The cute details of the cafe theme were also very well done. My only complaint with this is the door. I would have preferred the side swinging door as indicated on the picture vs the roll up door the I received. Even though the door itself is annoying, my daughter (age 3 years) loves her "house". We easily fit her kitchen set, rolling tea cart, and a small bean bag chair inside in addition to the table and 2 chairs under the awning. She and I can still get inside to pretend to cook and share meals. We haven't taken in it down in the month she's had it and it is still holding up nicely.

My 2 year old loves it. He likes peeking out of the mesh windows and climbing through the doors. Large enough for 2 playmates and his stuffed animals.

I ordered this for my 2 year old nephew, for his b-day --so I truly had no chance to see it in person. However, I have seen a picture and it looked pretty close to the picture. It is light enough that is easy to carry, for adults and kids as well. My nephew seems to be having a blast hiding in the little tunnel -- his parents are thinking of hooking it to his little tent, to make it more of an adventure! Excellent buy for the price.

Bought this for my nephew's 2 year old birthday who lives on the other side of the country. My sister said it was a hit at his party with all the kids. They loved it and so does he. Definitely recommend. Also OS is great for long distance gifts.

I can't comment on the construction and safety because I haven't seen it personally. This was a long-distance gift for my 2-year old Grandson. My son called me up and told me he "absolutely loves" this; to the extent that when his dad got inside my grandson "evicted" him and wouldn't let him get back in. It must be pretty big for my 6'4" son to get inside. Appears to be something parents can play with their kids, always a wonderful plus. For these resons alone I gave this a five star rating for fun at a really affordable price.

My 2 year old has not used it as much as I expected, but she does enjoy lying across the top and dragging it around by the tail, which it seems to be able to handle. The face is held on with toggles and loops and so hinges at either side. Hinging at the top would have been more fun. The storage bag is a joke, but usable so far. It is a bit of a fight to get the tunnel in and the zipper seems to always catch on the nylon. I suspect the stitching on this will be the first thing to go.

We, my husband and I, watched by Skype as the grandchildren, ages 1 and 2, opened the gift and my son set it up. We live in Michigan and they live in Maryland. The set up was quick, less than a minute, and easy. The children were thrilled. The 2 year old took her doll and immediately went in. The 1 year old waited for his father to go in first. It was larger than I expected. My son could sit in it with his legs stretched out and his head didn't touch the top (he is about 5'11"). The children would come out to open other presents and go back into the play house. The windows in the door made them easily visible. I was amazed at how clear the view was. It was a great hit with the children and me. I plan to order another one to keep here for visits. Its even big enough for naptime.

Exactly as described/pictured and exactly what we were looking for! Our 16 month old loves to climb in and under everything so now she has a safe place to do it. The first 15 minutes or so she was a bit confused by it and went around it but then I put a few toys inside and quickly understood to go in it and later I found a whole pile of toys inside! Two pieces of advice 1) if you have a small house, cut off the long straps as my little one tried to pull it everywhere and kept getting it stuck between pieces of furniture and 2) it does have a lot of spring when you go to open or close it so use your knee to brace it against a sofa to hold it closed until you have it completely hooked or unhooked. I highly recommend this and will probably but another for her sitter's house.

After researching for many months, we ordered this adorable playhouse on Black Friday for our daughters. When it arrived 2 weeks later on a freight truck and the pallet was placed in our garage with four flat boxes, my husband and I thought we were in for a tough build. We finally had enough time to put together the playhouse yesterday with my father-in-law and I have to say it went easier than we thought it would. The parts were not labeled at all, which was a little discouraging. It took us about 45 minutes to get everything organized before we began assembling. It took the three of us approximately 3 hours to put it together, with a few breaks here and there. The quality of the wood and the playhouse are outstanding. The house is small for the adults to go in and out of (which you will need to do while building the house) but it was doable. We are planning on putting a layer of wood preserve on the house to protect it from the outside elements. It is not a large playhouse, but plenty big for our 7 and 4 year old to play in it together. If you are looking for a top quality playhouse, this should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to see the look on our girls faces on Christmas morning!

My 2 grandsons LOVE it. They play AND sleep in it. The framework is not very sturdy, but with a little care should last a while. Goes together easy, still have not learned how to twist the circular metal ring to fold compactly...but I can at least fit it back into the included matching bag. Overall a great tent for the price.. Still have not even had it outside...

My 2 year old and my 9 year old both enjoy this tent! Plenty of room to just hang out, have lunch and play pretend! We have only used this indoors on the rug but it seems durable enough to use outdoors. Initial set up was easier than I expected with easy to follow intructions. (self-explanatory pictures) Set up time for me is about 10-15 minutes. Shipping time was 4 days. I bought this on sale so that was an added plus. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase!
Pretend play helps kids express their feelings, lets them develop language skills as they create make-believe scenarios, and provides an opportunity for social development as they play cooperatively. It's important to let children direct themselves to get the most out of pretend play, but their creativity gets a jumpstart when they have the best pretend play toys. Kids will start engaging in pretend play at 2 or 3 years old, and most of these toys would be good Christmas gifts for kids ages 2 to 8.
